In their own words
Should have listened to the reviews before moving in Village Green. We only moved in this place out of desperation anyway. We knew it was not a good choice, but being unable to find a place elsewhere we did regretfully move in. Anyway, here is the problem. I got laid off my job and tried to work out a payment plan on past due rent.
Rob, Thank you for your review, we appreciate your business and are happy to know you had a great experience with Village Green.
I stayed here with my parents and ended up leaving due to personal reasons. My parents got evicted and I received a letter saying we owe them almost $5000 in damages to the property that simply are not there. I don’t get where they charge the previous tenant for things that would be done in between tenants anyways I.e., painting and doing the carpets. But want to charge $200 PER ROOM for paint and almost $700 to replace the carpet???

Don't move in here... If you ever have life problems you are screwed.. If you are 6 days late.. You get an eviction notice.. Truly wished we would have listened to all the reviews warning people to not move in.. Management is cold and heartless, oh and let's not forget about forced mows.. If your grass is above whoevers ankle they mow your 5 min yard and charge you 150 dollars. And not to mention the ridiculous deposit of 2000 to move in.. Which I'm sure we will not get back

My family and I have lived in the community for going on over 5yrs!! One of the things I don’t quite understand is that since day one we were told and it’s stated in the community rules that every dog has to be on a leash ! Not a lead that goes in a ground but a leash that a human person has control over ! So why is it that I see alot of residents that let there dogs out without leashes! Run around peoples property! Cause the front office said that they didn’t need to have leashes on the dogs!

DO NOT rent or buy from village green/ yes communities. When the homes are leased they do "gold key inspections" every couple of months to "check" for leaks and anything else. This is why we chose to buy a home thinking it would be years down the road before repairs were needed. NOPE, we started having a leaking roof that collapsed and put Alot of money in. Our ac unit went out shortly after too during the hot part of summer. Floors were soft in spots,BLACK MOLD started developing. I could go on and on.

My wife and I lived here at 87 princess for 1 year. During this time the toilet in our master bathroom stopped working all together for a total of 3 months. They took 3 months to have it working again. Also we had a new born while we lived there. The House next door bug bombed and sent a million roaches and bugs into our house. It took 2 and a half weeks before they got an exterminator to deal with it with our son getting bite marks on him at night. We moved out two months ago.
still no attempts to put a wall back where they removed it around 6 months ago..we are paying to heat the outside..they don't care about the people.. very bad management.the smell of decomp coming from under this trailer..they refused my rent..then said we could pay two months..that our problems started before this management..but since this management not one bit of cooperation..even though it's been two years ..really??????.then sent a paper saying they would raise the rent 145 dollars a month..and still won't…

The same method, applied to the four and five star reviews. Most movers are praised for the same handful of things, so what is missing here is often as telling as what is present.

In their own words
We have been proud residents of Village Green for over 19 years, and during that time, we’ve seen many managers come and go. Without a doubt, Amy Blankenship, the current sales and leasing agent, stands out as the best! Amy is incredibly communicative, friendly, and always willing to assist with any questions or concerns. Her professionalism and genuine care for residents make a huge difference in the community.

We have been here 24 years. I have 5 family members who live here. 4 own. 1 rents. My aunt has been here 27 years. I read a review written 3 weeks ago and I'm certain it's alot of negativity from a negative Nelly. Just look at her other reviews. I'm sure some was against us. I do have 2 small.pups that live here. Never on a lead. One is a elderly Chiwhuahua who has lived here 14 years. He is blind and deaf. The other is a 8 month old puppy.
Corman, Thank you for your review, we appreciate your business!
I would like to start by saying when we first moved in there were a few bumps in the road but that's to be expected with any big change such as moving to a new place. However issues that we had we worked side by side with Property Manager Val Pappas as well as Kim and Jen in the office to address the issues and the other staff of Village Green as well. We have been here almost a year now and in that time I can say I have seen major changes and improvements.
