Western Van and Storage handled the delivery for North American for a cross-country move. My delivery experience with them was abysmal. If I could give zero stars and still write a review, I would. They communicated poorly, were late, destroyed several items, ignored instructions regarding not taking apart a high-value item, and exhibited a blatant disregard for the premises into which I moved, damaging the property. The “helpers” who did the physical labor clearly had no experience.
Took the other reviews into consideration before posting this... perhaps the international element to our move added a complication to their operation they couldn't compensate for. To be clear, there were positive elements to our experience, but the low points overshadowed. Arrived on time, and unloaded with a fervor. We opted out of the unpacking option with the exception of the major pieces that needed assembly.
Don't use this company. Leg of antique tack chair broken off. Cigar Store stature scratched and dented. Finish on antique dining table ruined. Dents in antique dining chair. Dent in top of book shelf. Kandinsky print ruined. Motor oil stains on two mattresses (means they leaned the mattresses on either side of a lawn mower). Refuses to offer any compensation other then $0.60/ lbs of item. This wont pay for repairs. In addition... loading crew became angry with me. Unloading crew blamed me for the damage.
We used them for a cross country move via Allied. They were 2 days outside of the delivery window and many of our furniture pieces were damaged in addition to several crushed or damaged boxes. They also lost all of our weight plates and dumbbells. They also had to handle/transfer our goods 3 times—which I’m sure contributed to the damages. Have yet to deal with the claims process. However, Alondra at the office was very nice and communicated well.
DO NOT USE THIS DELIVERY SERVICE!! After 3 delivery dates and very short cancelation notice we are still unable to get our merchandise delivered. Customer service does not answer the phone or return email and text requests. I have received emails that claim of phone calls but have had no calls or contact outside of random emails that are not true. This is definitely the most undesirable company I have ever encountered.
If I had the option to leave zero stars i would. we contacted budget van lines who Do business as National Van Lines. They started off by saying that they have a sweet deal, so you think awesome lets do it. We pay for 350 cubic square ft …

We used Western Van for a recent cross-country move from Texas to Washington. Our driver, Monel, and his loading teams at both our point of origin and our destination were amazing. Very friendly, very professional, and above all, extremely efficient getting our stuff packed and moved safely out the door.
