My husband and I used Direct Moving Group this passed Saturday 6/20/26 and I would not recommend anyone to use this company. The movers we had were horrible at their job. They were suppose to start our move at 10:00am but didn't show up until 10:45am. We were not informed when we made our reservation that we had to empty out drawers and wrap our items prior to the movers coming. There was a lead guy, his son, and his wife showed up. They were not professional movers at all.
Hi Charlyn, While we appreciate all customer feedback, it appears that you have posted this review for the wrong moving company. Your post mentions that you hired Direct Moving Group, but this review was left on the profile for You Move Me.
We hired them for packing and loading and they significantly damaged just about every piece of furniture we own. They also damaged the home we were vacating and left whole cabinets of items unpacked. I've never experienced such a horrible job. Furthermore, they refused to pay for any of the damaged furniture since the customer agreement does not cover losses on loading jobs, "once the item has entered the truck".

I would have given a good review as the movers got things taken care of quickly and efficiently, however a large piece of furniture is missing as well as at least one box of our things. We contacted the company about our large cabinet that …
Hi Savannah, We feel bad that you're missing an expensive piece of furniture. We wanted to go above and beyond to try to locate it for you (especially since it was a wedding gift), so we went to the storage facility this morning and were able to view the surveillance video.
Update: Responding to the owner’s response: I read the response and I was the one considering taking your company to small claims court due to my furniture being unprofessionally mishandled and damage when I was told that my furniture will be handled with care. You’re not in the position to talk for your movers because you wasn’t physically there.. your movers didn’t take any before and after pictures and came unprepared asking me for things to use to move us that they didn’t even have. Unprofessional behavior from movers This was a terrible and traumatic experience! I hired this company's service on October 22, the last week. I moved from Ballantyne, NC, to South Park, NC. They didn't complete the move until the next day. They had to return to the residence because they lost the hardware from one bed. Also, they left items without wrapping. The next day, when they came back, once they had installed it, one of the guys asked for pay, and my card was declined because of my change in the zip code.
I used them to move last week. I had an horrible experience. They quoted me way less than what I spent which was $1k to move a few heavy items. I still got to move everything else. The manager Travis was rude when I told him. And the movers …

The moving crew was right on time. Called ahead and showed right up when they did they would be there. Everyone was super nice and polite. Very efficient and took care of my items like it was their own. Could not have asked for a better moving experience. Would recommend them to anyone that is looking to move. Jamieson and Tymar literally just left our new home and they did a fantastic job of moving, listening and communicating everything clearly with us. These guys deserve the biggest raise possible, and a promotion for both of them is due. They could not have done a better job and it would have taken us a week to get this move done without them. Jamison and the crew did an amazing job today with our move. As moving is understandably exhausting, i felt compelled to write a 5 star review on the same long day! The crew was organized, polite, extremely careful and delicate with our things. If I could give more stars…… I would! I am so grateful that a friend suggested, “You Move Me”. Everyone that I spoke with at the office level were pleasant and helpful. Typically, moving the contents of your home is dreadful and nerve wracking. My experience from start to finish was great.
