You Move Me Honolulu

[UPDATED] These reviews are FAKE. After submitting a claim to the company for damages, they offered to pay the damages only on the condition I sign a non-disparagement agreement, and take down this review. The email is attached. What a scourge on our community. [ORIGINAL BELOW] DO NOT use this company. I wish I went with Honolulu Movers. Our bill was nearly 3x ($1,200 extra) higher than the quote, and they broke a ton of stuff. The leadership is terrible and the workers all seem like new hires.

Hired this company January 2019 to move from Kahala to Pearl. Initially was impressed, but as the day went, the 2 movers grew tired and sloppy. They do not empty dressers = adds more weight to move (they "saran wrap" wrap the doors closed). So when they got to the new house, they ended up dropping a $1,900 solid wood dresser on it's side. This bent 2 drawer corners and dented the top. I tried to be patient, however they just offered me $100 off for a "simple dent" because it wasn't completely broken.

I received a call the day before our move, it was a call to touch base and figure everything out for tomorrow's move. That was good, they should be at our office at noon. The next day, noon came and went, I had to go down to the street and saw their truck and told them to come up. They were at my door at 12:30. They charged me for that half hour! They said it was my fault for not answering their call. My phones were packed away for the move.

I was quoted $433 to move a small hospital bed from point A to point B. This was more than I anticipated having to pay, but it had to be done and they were friendly and professional during the booking process, so I agreed. I was given a 2 hour window for arrival of the movers. since item was located 45 minutes away from me, I was told the movers would give me an hour heads up so I could meet them there. They only gave me a 30 min notice and started the clock when they arrived, 15 minutes ahead of me.

Misleading and Unorganized – Avoid This Company! I had a terrible experience with this moving company, and I’m writing to warn others, especially fellow military families and veterans. From the beginning, they completely misled me about their services. They claim to support military personnel, but their actions spoke otherwise. The move was an absolute disaster. Despite sending a crew of five people, they were shockingly slow and unprepared.

A better name would be "You Break Me." I chose You Move Me based on their reviews here, but my experience could not have been more different. Rayleen came out to my house two weeks prior to determine what they needed to bring and to give me a quote. It was pricey, but since this was my first time paying for a move (my 3 previous had all been military moves to the lowest bidder), I thought I would be paying for a job done right. Then moving day happened...

For starters I should mention that I was more than 60 minutes late to my appointment because of my own scheduling error but the movers were willing to wait for me and I did try to make it up to them by buying them coffee and breakfast from Starbucks. I had three movers help me and literally within the first ten minutes of the move the first mover banged two separate pieces of furniture together as he picked them up then fell down the wooden stairs as he was carrying them.

I don't usually write reviews, but I feel like other military families should know that this company is not military friendly, and not professional. I contacted this company to help move our family (2 adults, 1 child) 3 miles down the road since I am expecting and am unable to be too much help with the heavy items. I was contacted quickly, asked for the address where we were moving and was clear at the beginning of the process we were military moving on post.
