Avoid these guys at all costs. We hired You Move Me to move us from Burnaby to Sidney. While unpacking we discovered damage to 9 different pieces, from broken glass on a framed poster, to several large scratches across 80% of a coffee table. They also put a large dent in the stairs railing in our new place. When I tried to claim for the damage, they said they pay $6 per pound for damaged items and estimated the weight of the damaged items at 120 lbs.

This is the easiest one star I’ve ever given (I wish I could give zero stars) Please don’t be deceived by the high ratings as I naively was. We paid a whopping $2,000 approx in total for a 690 sq ft one bedroom move to a new neighbourhood that was only an hour away from our old place. For that extortionate price tag, we expected to receive the services that we thought we paid for - friendly and professional customer service, and a stress-free transparent moving experience.

I hired You Move Me for packing and moving services for our relocation from Vancouver to Toronto. Our belongings were stored in a container for seven months. When the container was opened this past week, we were extremely disappointed by what we found. Our very expensive headboard, less than a year old, was unwrapped and pushed directly against the wall, despite assurances that all furniture would be wrapped in blankets.

This was a disaster. Our stuff was moved, however also damaged. So that was a win.. after almost 3x the amount of time quoted and yes we were charged by the hour and paid way more than the person who walked through our house quoted. Many of our things were damaged (large new TV, new glass cabinet, couch back ripped…). Team members moved so slowly I (tiny 5’3 woman) put my 1 year old down with his granny to help carry boxes and get the guys moving.

I want to sincerely thank the team that stepped in to help us at the very last minute when we were unexpectedly left without movers. After another company cancelled on us just an hour before our scheduled move, we were in a very stressful and difficult situation. We had already made building arrangements, including reserving the elevator, and were completely unprepared to handle such a sudden change. Thankfully, this company was able to step in quickly and professionally.
We've used You Move Me for multiple moves, and every experience has been positive. Their crews are efficient, careful, and professional, and their customer service is outstanding. Abdulah was an awesome leader who was professional and managed his team well. The live staff were great. The AI system was really frustrating. Kept taking my email wrong and it didn’t send. But the life staff were responsive and always called back and everything got settled. They really were the experts to my novice knowledge about moving and we were right on time.
