You Move Me Vancouver Island

The three young men that showed up were very nice and professional. Ryan the lead made sure that everything made it on the truck. I thank them for their efforts. I was originally quoted $1500 for my move from East Sooke to Metchosin but ended up paying $1950. It took one hour longer than planned and then there was a charge for having a gravel driveway. The unfortunate part was when they tried to move my king size mattress up the stairs.

UPDATE: The owner reached out and attempted to resolve the issue as best he could. Obviously cares about fulfilling their promises to customers. The gesture was appreciated, though it doesn't change my original review. *** Not sure what the coffee and housewarming gift are they speak of... They drove my belongings to the wrong address and couldn't figure that out until I literally walked over and found their truck. They were unprofessional, never smiled, rarely made eye contact...

INSULT onto INJURY *Not a day goes by that am not haunted by the Losses caused by this company. some years ago, I hired this company. The 2 young men, at some point, speaking of wanting lunch and pushing that if they didn't go-it wouldn't be within the quote (-and as if there wasn't an alternative or offer to extend it,pushed to get going). They deposited the locks from my multiple lockers in the basement of my building -and we left.

Here are the issues we had with You Move Me: - Arrived 2 hours late - Half way into moving us, 1 of their movers were called away to do another move. This left only 2 movers to do the job of 3 so it took almost 8 hours to complete a move where the properties were 10 minutes driving distance. - Expensive leather furniture was scratched and and damaged - Front door was damaged when furniture was forced through This was a terrible experience.

The guys worked hard but broke two items that are difficult to replace. I reported this to the company a month ago, but I’ve had no response. I’ve moved many times in the last few years and never has anything been broken before. Very disappointing.

I wasn’t impressed with Jorge at all. The other guy was good, however Jorge complained right from the get go, about having to wait 10 minutes because of my busy work schedule. It took me 10 extra minutes to arrive at the house to greet the movers, he couldn’t set up the gym equipment that was a problem when we paid to have it set up and whoever we spoke to on the phone said your company could set it up as they took it apart, he did everything half ass at best. And made the other guy do the hard work.

An older non-computer literate couple that I work with used this company and hated it! They felt judged (they were told their stuff was junk which, in my opinion, is not professional, no matter the state of their possessions. If it's stuff they care about, then treat it nicely.) On the day, they were told they had to remove everything from a filing cabinet so You Move Me could move it by hand instead of just using a dolly (they apparently didn't have one) and some tape to move it and its contents as a unit.

The quote I was given by the call center booking representative was off quite a bit for our 2 bedroom condo move( $400.00 ) . They sent 2 workers of which one of them seemed quite new . A third worker came about 4 hours later to help out . They were all friendly , courteous and I liked the red carpet roll out and plant gestures at the end of the move . However, $400.00 over the quoted price and I still had to move smaller items at the end by myself .
