My husband and I chose Zip to Zip based on the seemingly positive reviews. We had such a horrible experience that we did a deep dive and found that others left negative reviews for very similar reasons to the following: - During the quote conversation, we told them about all of our furniture and an approximation of boxes. They showed up with a 500 cubic ft truck and said they’d need to take two trips. Terrible planning. - Quoted 4-5 hours, took 8 hours. Very inefficient.

My experience with Zip to Zip Moving was a disaster from start to finish. Within 5 minutes of meeting me and walking around the home with a clipboard to get a preview of the rooms that needed to be moved on the truck, the lead had forgotten my name. He then proceeds to sit down for approx 45 minutes to complete "paperwork". At the conclusion of the paperwork, I was notified that my light-colored couch and fireplace would raise the price because they would need to be extra gentle with both.

They hand you an ipad before your move to leave a review. Thats why there are 1000 5 star reviews. Extortion at its finest. $1500 quote turned in to $4300 in person day of move. We were told if we tip well they'll knock some money off. It appears they sourced our move out to a 3rd party from nyc. Only one dude spoke english so it was difficult to communicate our needs. Movers were friendly and careful. Wrapped furniture very well. Very accommodating to my needs. I think they were too focused on the total number of boxes from the beginning of the whole moving process when I couldn't give a final tally until the very end. This added unnecessary stress to the whole move. In the end, I would probably use them again.
