Update: They called me to try to pay me off to take down my review. I agreed to edit it to reflect them trying to make things right after the poor quality move. Then they never paid me, and were extremely rude and unprofessional on the phone. The woman literally mocked and imitated me like a child on the phone. Avoid this sleazy, scam of a company. Overall terrible experience with the move, the movers, and the office staff. See original review if you want to read an honest experience with this company.

I honestly did not have a good experience with them. We moved our stuff from an apartment to a storage unit and not only are things BROKEN they are missing as well. All of our glasses which WE packed ourselves in BUBBLE WRAP and safely in a box labeled GLASS are broken. They also put the glass pieces of our furniture straight on the cement ground of the storage unit. NOTHING was wrapped and all the furniture got dirty and damaged. And for the price they are charging this was just not a good job.

Claim to be awesome people. Tried to call for a quote and couldnt hear something the woman said and got hung up on. Then they wouldnt answer my calls.
Hi Fayth, We're so sorry about the experience you described — that’s not how we operate. We would never intentionally hang up on a potential customer. Sometimes our reps deal with poor signal, and it sounds like the call may have dropped unexpectedly.
This company is fraudulent. I moved with them last year and had a great experience and hired them again this year and specified that everything that was moved last year needed to be moved again this year. The day they came they charged me an extra $500 just for the first location because of extra items that wasn’t on the list although it was moved by them.

If you are reading this review, it is probably because you are considering a move and are trying to select a moving company. You may see a lot of positive reviews here (I did when I did my diligence). However, all may not be as it seems. Here is my experience with ½ Price Movers (½ PM). Before getting into this, let me say I sent a more detailed version of this write up to ½ PM on January 15th. They responded that same day with an e-mail containing the following two words - “thank you”. They never responded again.

BEWARE - DO NOT USE: I should have known by the name. During a move down a hallway from assisted living to independent living in the same building the movers broke a 55” television, which is now inoperable. The insurance included in a move doesn’t cover electronics and as a courtesy they refunded me $50. It’s laughable to think they could be so careless and not assume responsible for something as simple as this. DO NOT USE unless you are willing to roll the dice and hope nothing happens.
Jay, sorry I understand your frustration. However, you did not take the extra insurance that we offer for full replacement. It clearly states in our contract that we're not responsible for electronics without physical damage. We are frustrated too. We move TVs everyday.

They walked me through the entire process, were very considerate and careful with my furniture, and made everything incredibly easy. AJ and his crew (I do apologize I forgot the other 2 guys names but they were awesome) were by far the best movers / delivery team I have ever experienced in my life. I include delivers like furniture cause well this is only the third time I had to use a moving company . They went above and beyond on everything . Highly recommend this moving crew. The guys were great very friendly and helpful. Took the stress out of us with this moving process. They did not mind to have our toddler around. Got straight to work , professionally wrapped everything very nicely, disassembled and reassembled everything. You guys are awesome!!
