1st Choice Movers

I chose this place based on the reviews and unfortunately had a poor experience. Main guy was unprofessional, kept yelling out at me , like “hey lady”. He literally complained about everything he had to pick up. He insisted they push my plush leather couch out the front door tearing it up. When I asked why it wasn’t wrapped and or padded first he claimed they never do that.

**24 HOUR UPDATE- 24 hours after this company responded to my review, NO call from management, NO refund processed, and NO tvs have been mounted (they still have the hardware to our mounts AND remotes to our TVs, making them useless) AVOID THIS COMPANY. We hired this moving company to move our one-bedroom apartment on Saturday, and the entire experience was unbelievably frustrating and unprofessional from start to finish.

Avoid 1st Choice Movers: Unprofessional, Double the Cost, and Broken Promises Save yourself time, money, and headache by hiring a different company. I chose 1st Choice Movers because they offered affordable rates and explicitly promised to disassemble furniture and dismount/remount my TVs. I called front desk representative Brandy at least three times to verify the TV service.

I’m extremely disappointed with my experience with 1st Choice Movers. I used them this past Friday for my move and was originally quoted $483 by Brandi. I carefully reviewed the estimate I received, and the truck fee was already included in that quoted amount. When the job was completed, the driver, Bill, told me my total was $706. When I questioned him about the significant difference, he told me that a truck fee had been added.

I chose 1st Choice because it had good reviews. They started out good but ended bad. I had a four bedroom house that Daniel came an quotes. We agreed on the quote. They was to have been there in the morning and didn’t show up till noon. They sent two truck. One was empty and the second was already half full. They worked till the second one was full but there was still furniture and such still to go. They said that they would have another truck come and pick up the remainder the following morning.

First and foremost, and why 1st Choice Movers doesn’t have bad reviews: This company violates the Consumer Review Fairness Act. TLTR: Do you want to hire a company that treats military families with great disrespect and dishonesty, a company that doesn’t fulfill its own contract and destroys your furniture? If yes, 1st Choice Movers is for you! This review is way overdue as it’s been almost one year since our bad experience with this company.

Absolutely DISGUSTED by the lack of professionalism of the First Choice Moving Team. We had wonderful movers during the process of picking up our stuff and dropping our things off but nothing can begin to make up for the horrible behavior we have experienced since then. Two boxes were left in the warehouse - we were told on 7.6.21 that our items would be delivered the following week. The following week came & went - I called the warehouse on multiple occasions, sent emails multiple times - all to no avail.

First of all, 1st Choice Movers (Bay meadows Movers) Jacksonville, is NOT a woman ran company. Secondly the communication was so bad, we had to call constantly to find out when all were arriving each and every time from sales (George)to the owner Jawad, to the office person Robert). They didn't set up Credit card payments correctly and seemed so shady it was unbelievable.
