Momma's Moving Company

Check the yelp reviews. This company has been a nightmare. They arrived 2 hours late, were extremely rude and unprofessional, then after they got their money they are totally unable to contact! I’ve been waiting since August 2019 to hear back from a manager regarding my gate the movers backed into and broke along with my king size bed frame that they put together incorrectly and it snapped in half. The movers literally drug their feet the whole time - my husband and I moved more items than they did.

Got a quote from “momma” I told her very specifically what we needed to have moved on the moving day The people that came to move said that this is going to be extra that’s gonna be extra and I said I already told the lady that these things needed to be moved and she never told me that these were extra she actually gave me an estimate, that was supposed to include all of this.

I’m a single mom with a special needs toddler. I paid for a local move (about 4 miles) because I have no family here to help me. At first it was a little irritating when one of the movers made a couple of comments making sure I wanted my dining room table and bed actually moved (as if I didn’t) because they were heavy. Everything else seemed to go fine until the end.

The office asked for photos of my belongings so they knew the size truck to send, I emailed them photos. I said I'd need for them to pack some of my stuff because I wasn't sure how to do it myself. Odd shaped items and lamps. When the crew came on moving day, I walked them through the house to show them what they'd take. They missed many items and I got stuck dealing with them. Also, one of their movers smashed an antique glass lamp shade. I called their office to report the break.

WORST experience ever!!! Do NOT use this moving company!!! I thought we'd be in good hands when I saw this company has mostly good reviews and we booked weeks in advance. However, when our moving day came around, they were nowhere to be found. I called relentlessly and finally reached a woman who said she'd find out what was happening. She said her driver was "a little behind schedule". 4 hours later, they were still nowhere to be found. She said they might be able to start the move around 5:00PM OR LATER.

If I could give zero stars I would. Whatever you do DO NOT USE THIS MOVING COMPANY. We booked them nearly a month ago, called to confirm on Friday before our closing all was ok and set for Monday at 8:30am. The morning of the closing I receive a call stating there truck is broke down. I informed them I had to be out by 10:30am. She mentioned getting a Uhaul for us with their movers and would call me right back. She never called back.

We called and made an appointment over a week in advance. Come moving day a lady called 10 minutes after our appointment time stating that they were having issues with one of their trucks, but that she was trying to find one to be able to help us. After us calling them back several times, we were informed that they would not be able to get to us that day, but they could be there the next day between 12-1. I called back later in the afternoon to confirm and they assured me that they would be there.

I attempted on 6/30/17 to reach out to this moving company regarding arranging a move for my elderly mother. The lady that picked up the phone was extremely rude and unprofessional. When you are in the service business especially a moving company, patience is very important. Moving can be extremely stressful especially during the summer months. I didn't have all the details on my mothers move and couldn't get her on the line at the time.
