I definitely would not recommend. Moved out of a place a couple of years ago with this company. Person I scheduled with seemed professional, and part of conversation included discussion of asking for boxes for lamps to be included with order. Movers showed up without them, and they had to be provided by other moving company personnel, which caused delay. Movers generally seemed hostile and rude.
Sorry, but we think you have the wrong company. None of what you are mentioning seems like our company or our employees.
We had a terrible experience with this moving company and I strongly recommend avoiding them. They charged us about $1,000 more than the agreed-upon quote, with no clear explanation for the extra charges. We also paid for a few days of storage, which was included in the original quote, yet they still added costs.
The movers themselves were very professional, cannot complain. BUT the issue is the management. Unfortunately the movers did damage some furniture, although I believe they were trying their best not to. Talking to management and the claim process, they continued to say they would call me back and never did. This went on for over two weeks now. They also refuse to answer or respond to their own claim emails. Bottom line the good reviews come from customers lucky enough to not have damage.
The movers worked very hard to move our home. However, I was very disappointed that two workers did not consistently wear masks. I tried to give one a mask to wear and he pulled a gator up over his nose, then the next time I saw him it was under his nose again. It was unacceptable and made me feel unsafe, given the current pandemic. Edit: yes I’m sure I have the right company. It is under my husband’s name. We literally have the same last name. I’ve emailed you about it and have heard no response.

I gave them one star because I couldn’t give zero. These people are complete thieves. They quadrupled the price I was quoted and then held my belongings for a week when they promised same day delivery. Every person I spoke to just told more lies. I cant believe this is even legal.
Hello sir. I am certain you have the wrong company. We have an office in MD and one in FL only. Please verify that you have reviewed the correct company. We have never promised same day delivery and delivered a week later in our 30 year history.
First Class Moving and Storage of Glen Burnie, MD and Orlando, FL HAVE NO class at all. They are the biggest bunch of crooks with which I have ever worked. We recently moved from Laurel, MD to Charleston, SC. We hired Pods.com to manually move some of our possessions and this company to move the rest. Pods.com was excellent by the way. We paid NO Class Moving and Storage half of the moving fee upfront and then we had to pay a monthly storage fee.
I am incredibly disappointed in my experience with 1st Class Moving. The virtual quote was great - I loved that they took the time to FaceTime me and get an accurate representation of what needed to be moved. However, the day of the move was incredibly disappointing. I was given a 3 hr window of when the movers would arrive. I got a call from the movers after the window had closed that they’d be at my house in another 40 minutes. I ended up moving most of my things myself and had to cancel my plans afterwards.
We do appreciate your feedback and we are sorry about how you feel. However, some of the information you stated is not exactly accurate, for the record. We sent you a message at 3:53 PM as soon as we realized that the truck was running late, which was due to a bad accident on 495.
Do NOT use this company. They appeared at first to be qualified movers. We went with this company because they could store our goods in their trailers to prevent damage moving our property. The truth came upon delivery. First the trailers were outside for about three months and leaked water. Our couches and cloth chairs were water stained. A wood table was warped and not repairable. The day of delivery the driver showed up with four locals that had never moved before.

We moved from Baltimore, MD to south FL. I phoned several moving companies to get quotes and talk thru the entire moving process. Once I connected with Joseph, the moving process became exponentially easier. He explained everything in detail to me. The quote process was simple and fast. Over the course of the next couple of months I communicated with Joseph several times via email to either ask questions or to update our inventory. Pick up day - the crew arrived 30 min early(!!!).
We have great people to help!
David with First Class was very responsive and worked with me when changes were necessary (or sometimes not, my bad). His estimate was $1600 less than two other companies, but the service was amazing. Oscar and his crew covered all furniture with blankets and plastic and taped the coverings in place. They separated the glass tops from the tables and wrapped them separately.
We have a great team to handle everything!

From start to finish, I could not have found 1st Class Moving and Storage to be more professional, more transparent, or more accommodating. Uncharacteristically, I trusted Ray with ease and expertise immediately - there was no hard selling, and it's clear that 1st Class Moving believes its business hinges on customer satisfaction. I was under pressure to execute on the move, with multiple outside contingencies, yet I never felt vulnerable, and every accommodation was made to meet my irregular schedule.
