2 Guys and a Van Movers Chicago

On the day of our move overall things went quite smoothly, and the movers were very efficient. They finished over an hour earlier than what was estimated and there were three stops. They handled some difficult conditions on the stairs in new house with cardboard we had laid down to protect the carpet due to the rain. They also were able to take apart and put back together a bed with drawers that has been a challenge with other moves we have had in the past and none of our furniture was damaged.

DO USE USE THESE GUYS…THEY’RE DISHONEST They broke my “65 Sony Bravia Smart TV then changed my contract saying I never paid them to move my TV which is a lie. They also took other item off the contract saying they never moved them. They actually took the trouble to change the contract several times which I’m sure is not legal. They are liars and are dishonest. They also quoted me $512 in the beginning and then charged me $562.

I had scheduled a two-stop move—first my boyfriend's, then my own apartment—several weeks in advance with this company. They called the day before to confirm everything, and it seemed all set and ready. Today, the scheduled move day, I was told the movers would arrive between 1-4pm, and they would notify me at least 30 minutes before they were on their way. All my stuff was packed and ready, and I was anxiously waiting to hear from them.

I understand this is a family owed business but I can only review what I experienced. I did go with another company but appreciate them reaching out. Called for an estimate and was met with a very rude person answering the phone. They were very short and sounded like I was bothering them with my questions.

my move took 5 hours, longer than usual ok they were careful in the beginning. My crew was great, really working hard, stuff was fitting. THEN the wheels came off, my girlfriend who decided to use the same company was sent "their largest van" and she said before they started and during her move that it was not big enough.

We needed help move out a few large furniture items and decided to select the company based on previous google reviews. Unfortunately, our experience was disappointing. As per the quote, the company was to move few furniture items, couple of boxes and disassemble/assemble a queen bed. Prior to the crew arriving the coordinator confirmed that the crew will disassemble/assemble the bed. Upon the crew's arrival, the crew lead refused to disassemble the bed stating that he was not notified.

I rarely leave negative reviews, but my experience with 2 Guys and a Van was one disappointment after another. The problems started before the move even began. The crew arrived over an hour late. The first truck didn’t arrive until approximately 10:10 AM, and the second truck didn’t arrive until around 10:20–10:30 AM. Yet my bill reflects a start time of 10:06 AM. I questioned the billing and never received a satisfactory explanation. During the move, the crew caused significant damage to my wall.

I do NOT recommend them and won’t use them again. The guys seems nice but didn’t care about our items at all. They were stacking boxes marked “fragile” 2 or 3 at a time on their back while completely smashing the boxes. They scratched every piece of furniture and dinged up our walls in the process. Then the worst part is we had a cheap couch that comes apart easily and comes back together. It’s just a metal frame and cushions that come off.
