A & M Friendly Movers

Horrible experience. Charged me for more than quoted - and was moving from a small townhome to another small townhome. Was billed for a long lunch. Damaged multiple pieces of furniture and acted like it wasn't a big deal. Scraped the walls. Left furniture incomplete and got annoyed when I asked them to finish. Left trash and screws in my front yard. Rude and unprofessional. One worker was vomiting in my bathrooms all day.

It is actually disheartening that I need to write this review. Prior to our move on 4/14/2023 A&M Friendly Movers was highly responsive, quick to answer any questions and provide clarification for whatever was needed prior to my move. On the day of the move I received a message letting me know the movers would arrive by a certain time and they did arrive promptly. The two gentleman were kind, polite and hard working. Upon completion of the move I noticed missing pieces to furniture and damage to a few items.

These are the worse movers I’ve ever worked with. Wow- the whole moving experience with this company was so bad- it seemed surreal. 1. Showed up late. 2. Insufficient man power. 3 guys to move a 3 story Victorian home full of furniture & basement. We were told that there supposed to be 4 guys but one didn’t show. Doubt that would’ve made a difference. 3. Paid Packing service- Off white upholstered club chairs from west elm wrapped with dirty moving blankets, instead of shrink wrap.

I’ve used A&M for two moves now. I’ll be honest, the first move went great. It was an easy job as I didn’t have much to move. No issues. That said, I’m sad to say that I am changing my initial review of this company from my second move after I was lied to by the owners who initially said they would take care the damages done to my couch and have it repaired for me, but now say the best they can do is give me the amount owned based on the protection plan, which barely covers the labor charges of the repair I will…

We hired this company for our move and were very disappointed. While the crew was careful and respectful with our belongings, they were extremely slow, took frequent breaks, ran out of supplies midjob, left material behind needed for the appliances they moved, misplaced parts when putting everything back together and even vaped in our garage while our newborn was inside the house. They also left trash behind at the old property.

I booked A&M movers for a 1 bedroom, 1 bath 900 square foot apartment to a townhouse about 1 mile away. Upon arrival the crew joked "if you care about your things, don't hire movers". That definitely set the tone for the job. No supplies were provided (contrary to the website). We offered our own remaining moving blankets. Even so, items were dragged (not lifted) through the dirty/salty/snowy sidewalks to the moving truck.

We are extremely disappointed with this company. A&M Friendly Movers came highly reviewed and highly recommended. The moving crew we had arrived in sour mood that continued throughout the day. They were very slow on the loading side, using the entire quoted time (almost 9 hours) to load our fully packed and staged small twin house, which would have been fine if it were because they were being extra cautious.

**DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY.** I have never felt more taken advantage of or disappointed by a business. Chad, Jay, and Jimmy were friendly, professional, and the only positive part of this experience. I would consider hiring *them* again—but not this company. I hired A&M to pack, move, and unpack my family for a simple cross-town move. With four young children, including a newborn, I made it clear from the start that I needed full support. I was assured everything would be handled.
