In their own words
Well this was the worst moving experience I've ever had. Damage to my couch after they told me they would provide covers. Once movers arrived refused to put original plastic on after 30mins they did a time check n seemed very unprifessional. They moved partial items inwhich was included in my inventory. Contacted management immediately with concerns filled out a damage claim which WAS NEVER ADDRESS. N O DID I MENTION I ENDED UP GETTING BED BUGS IN THE COUCH N HAD TO PAY FOR THAT.
Prescious, I am sorry you feel this was an awful move, this was a labor-only hence you were responsible for providing any covers that could have been needed. Nevertheless, our movers stated that, you had nails sticking out and that was how the couch snagged, but we were going to take care of it…
Our close friends had a few rather valuable things turn up missing. As more "help" showed up randomly, they couldn't keep up with the "workers" wandering around, going back and forth to their cars, etc. For us it was a terrible and painful experience. It was stressful enough helping them pack and move, but the loss of items was devastating. The personalities seemed kind enough, but there is no question things vanished. Very frustrating. Very discouraging.
Ms. Champion, I am unclear what customer you are posting a review for. In addition, if this did happen, why would this not be brought to our attention via email, telephone or any other way. I looked on your profile and noticed you give out almost all 1-star reviews and you are based out of NC.
If I could give the company ZERO STARS I ABSOLUTELY WOULD THESE RIDICULOUS PEOPLE WANTED TO CHARGE ME 175.00 FOR A 20.00 DRESSER FROM MARKETPLACE THE DRIVE IS ONLY 25 MINUTES IT WAS NOT THAT HARD AND THIER RUDE RECEPTIONIST AMBER HUNG UP ON ME I WAS ASKING FOR WAS A SIMPLE QUOTE THERE WAS NO NEED FOR ALL THAT NASTINESS I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS LOUSY RUDE NASTY OVERPRICED COMPANY TO ANYONE
We are sorry that your experience did not meet your expectations. However, we do want to clarify the situation for accuracy. Our price was quoted correctly based on labor, vehicle, fuel, insurance, and travel time, which are standard factors for all professional moving services.
Amber was very unreasonable to work with as she was very pushy and seemed to only care about the pricing. I was quoted 4 hours to empty and move 3 storage units into our new home with possible overcharges for additional time needed. I was estimated and quoted at $1,300 ((which is wayyy overpriced already compared to other movers I just chose them unfortunately because they had the earliest availability- clearly because no one was booking them and now I understand why)) my final charge was OVER $2,000 AND they…
First of all the customer speaking in this review is NOT Mustafa, as Mustafa was pleased with our movers, this is his mom. When Mustafa called in, he advised there was (3) units and the inventory in those units equaled 1729 sq.ft which is only a tiny bit over a 26' truck.
So, we closed on our home here in Ohio Monday, YAY! HOWEVER, The movers we used were extremely slow packing the truck they brought. One acted as if he didn't even want to move the items from the storage unit. They stood around talking a lot and did little work. It was as if they were trying to time out, so they could leave at 3 hours. My son and I had to help them load the truck to speed up the process. This was the worst experience I have ever had using movers.
First of all, we arrived with a 17' truck to move 808 cu ft of items. Which was as follows: (1) Bed, King(Standard) (3) Bed, Mattress Only (Queen/King) (8) Chair, Kitchen (1) Dryer (1) Fridge (Side-by-Side) (2) Headboard/Footboard-ONLY (2) Sofa, Loveseat/Setee (2) Table, Kitchen/Pub (1) Washer…
Charged me $703 to move a one bedroom apartment 10 miles. The move consisted of a complete king sized bedroom set, 7 piece sectional, a granite two piece table with 6 chairs and 20 boxes. Had to pay someone else to bring granite table top because they said it was too heavy and they would bring it later that day and then they called and said it would be 3 days before they could get it. I'm not happy with this.
Terrible company. Watched them break a floor lamp and a tv stand while moving a friend of mine. When she called to figure out what could be done she was pretty much blown off by the person on the phone. They are sending a claim form but told her its likely nothing will get compensated. What kind of business runs like that. I felt so bad for her.
Mr,. Graley, first of all let me mention that you are the maintenance man at this location and you were not on-site. Occassionally, accidents happen and the floor lamp was broken which was compensated for, in full. In addition, the TV stand was never mentioned by your "friend" or our movers.
The crew who was on my move took 4 hours to load the truck. They was milking the time cause they get paid paid by the half an hour. But the unload took about 90 minutes. All they had to do was grab and go. And they took forever. Worse mistake I made this year
This is not a fair review. Multiple things you did not mention prior to us arriving. First off, we were not advised that you had roaches, we prepare different for those type of moves, so the movers had to inspect, evaluate and video your apartment.

In their own words
I hired this company last min to load a uhaul in a scramble after another terrible company cancelled my move. Zach was amazing at organizing a same day team and gave me advice on how to go about renting a truck and what equipment to get. The team arrived a little later than quoted however they were very good at communicating the delay and ensured they would be quick with the move. My building is known for being horrible to move in and out of given the long walk in the tunnel and multiple elevators.
A to Z did tremendous work for me with a crosstown move (west side to east side). I couldn't start looking for movers until about two weeks out due to logistics. A to Z was available and answered all my questions. The day of the move, they were there on time with a full staff. Moving out was handled within about a three-hour window. It would've been less if not for a basement refrigerator I had to take with me.
At the end of April, we have a move from CLE to CBUS and needed a mover. My husband found A to Z through a google search and boy, am I glad we did. The biggest issue we were finding was that we needed a large gun safe moved from the basement and packed, not a lot of movers were willing to move one, but A to Z was happy to accommodate us. The crew was fantastic, friendly, personable, got everything packed and moved for us, and all for a great price! Recently, we had another move within the same city in Columbus.
I had the pleasure of working with Amber and her team at A to Z moving on my most recent move to OH. Short Story on how she turned a potential nightmare into a great business opportunity and positive impression. • The moving crew I originally secured to assist me in my move, cancelled on me at the last minute, forcing me to scramble to find someone that could assist me with my move the next day.
Thank you, Mark. We understand the frustrations of moving and how scary it would be to have movers lined up and then cancel last minute. I am happy that we could accommodate the last minute move and you were able to experience the greatness of Team A to Z!
