Worst moving experience ever. Worst team of movers ever. Arrived three hours late; made a mess at my old residence, threw garbage outside of my new residence. Workers were lazy and inefficient. Broke glasses, dishes, other irreplaceable items; broke a ceramic torch lamp that had moved 3 prior times. Damaged the wood on a china hutch. Literally threw my crates and boxes down my basement steps, damaging my steps and breaking the crates.
Allied "The Careful Movers"? No—Unprepared, Unprofessional, and Damage Deniers I hired Berger Allied for an interstate move from Ohio to Colorado (Reg #481074), paying a $988 premium for $150,000 in Extra Care Protection (ECP) with a $0 deductible. That was part of the almost $17,000 I paid for what was supposed to be a "stress-free" move. What I received was a masterclass in incompetence and bad-faith business practices.

I've been waiting over a week to get an estimate and I still have not received one. I have contacted Allied Van lines multiple times but no answer.
A super bowl ring was stolen by a Berger employee from a Pittsburgh NFL player, the employee was never fired and it was never found…
We moved from OH to NC. I feel genuinely shocked after all the good reviews at my poor experience. The communication was abysmal. We were told on pick up that we would have guaranteed delivery day given to us. This day changed several times, and was never correct. Then we were told that a truck broke down and further delays would be had. However, when the truck driver arrived, he said his truck never broke down and that these companies lie all the time about it.
Furniture delivery arrived within the timeframe promised. I had a bigger order so that the total duration of assembly and “white glove” delivery took 2 hours. The problem is that it wasn’t white gloves and the movers didn’t wear booties before entering the house. The movers left styrofoam all over my house. Still no biggie and I tipped them anyways. But after they left, I realize that during assembly that occurred on my driveway, the furniture was damaged. It was a concrete bench and one of the corner was blunted.
The driver arrived over an hour early. I was not home. I had made arrangements for someone to be there at the arranged delivery time. When they came back at the correct time, they delivered the wrong chair. They did not call me to discuss the issue, but packed the chair back in the truck and left. No communication or follow up.

The men delivered two broken Arhaus nightstands. The drawers were obviously broken and crooked and yet they unboxed them and set them up. Very disappointed in the quality of the furniture and the fact that the delivery men didn’t say anything about the broken drawers.

Berger Allied was very responsive. We worked with Debbie Walter as our consultant. Debbie was professional, very knowledgeable and personable. She increased our knowledge re the process and always responded quickly to our calls and questions. With such a difficult task, we couldn’t have worked with a better person. The actual pick up and move-in day went smoothly. Eric Favez was the driver and site supervisor on both ends. Eric was great to work with. Again, he was professional, knowledgeable and very friendly.

Wow! I’m a little late leaving this review as our move was about 3 months ago. Our move was delayed as we were not packed in time but our consultant moved it for us. Once our goods were packed they were picked up by a WONDERFUL crew! Friendly, careful and quick. Unfortunately I discovered that I had probably left a diamond ring and diamond watch in one of the dressers after everything was picked up.
Bryant and Chris did an exceptional job delivering a king size bed to my home. I appreciated the phone call before the delivery to give me a more exact time.They were ahead of schedule, which worked out great for me. They took time to look at my space and listen to my concerns about the newly refinished hard wood floors in the bedroom. They took measures to take good care of the floors. They worked well as a delivery team unloading, unpacking, carrying, and assembling my bed.
We ordered furniture from Arhaus for an outdoor patio. Upon arrival Tyriq and Ray introduced themselves and explained the contents of the delivery. They worked together and moved the furniture from the truck to the driveway. They removed all the furniture from the boxes as well as the cushions. They asked where it should be placed and worked quickly. I can’t say enough about their professionalism and both were very careful when completing the job. I’m confident your moving company appreciates their dedication.
