A2B Moving and Storage Virginia

I am doing a final update to clarify. I do feel bad as I truly believe the owner was genuinely concerned when he heard about what had gone wrong and would have taken swift action to respond if given the opportunity. He has been nothing but pleasant and conciliatory so if things do go wrong (as they always do in moving) do give them a chance to make it right! First, they showed up an hour late. Having stayed up most of the night packing up my apt I could have used that extra hour of sleep.

We booked with A2B moving for our upcoming move and had an agreed upon price for which we paid our deposit and 5 days before our move Lisa took it upon herself to change the terms of our agreement which increased the price. When we called to speak to her about it she was rude and nasty on the phone and persisted to tell us what we needed, so we canceled and when we did Lisa said it was probably best, good luck with the move an hung up. We're now waiting on the refund of our deposit.

THE WORST EVER! I’ve used moving companies 7+ times over the years and this company was less than subpar! They used boxes I collected and charged for their boxes. Boxes were crushed, items broken and items MISSING! Delivery was a disaster! 90% of the Boxes weren’t labeled and were placed in the wrong rooms. Random items from random rooms in boxes..ex. Drano/chemicals mixed with food! Large Furniture brought in last- with boxes all over. We had to Help do their job.

Worst moving experience of my life. When I spoke with Grant on the phone, he was extremely polite and helpful which made me feel more at ease with the move. Grant gave me an estimated quote of $507.00, and I was fine with that. Prior to my move date, the operations office would send me text/calls to confirm the date/time, which seemed professional to me. On my move day, the movers showed up 30 minutes late, which was not a huge issue because they did a great job moving my heavy furniture.

Did not use a single moving blanket when transporting our items and severely damaged our only expensive piece of furniture and threw around fragile boxes immediately after the lead claimed to be one of the best movers they had. The lead “submitted a claim” for the damage that we never heard about again. Would definitely not use them again.

I've used A2B twice and the first move was great and no issues. The second move this past July was horrible. The movers were late and inexperienced, to say the least. They didn't know how to properly move a couch up and down stairs. They damaged numerous walls with gouges and dented a corner bead in about an inch. They scratched numerous spots on the hardwood floors and steps. When I pointed this out to them, their response was... call dispatch and file a damage complaint.

I'm hesitant to post a bad review, as I know movers/packers have a tough job. But, a week after our move, we keep discovering more issues and have gotten no help from the company itself. The movers arrived 1.5 hours late and therefore did not finish until 8:30pm. While moving the piano in, they did not put a rug or cover down and scratched the floor in various places (see photos). They put a cover down after the fact.

I used this company for a studio apartment move three weeks ago. I was unhappy with a number of aspects of my move. Pros: - The movers arrived early and were courteous/cordial throughout. - The movers were efficient at bringing everything into the truck/wrapping furniture. Cons: - I called a few days beforehand to request wardrobe boxes. The movers forgot them when they arrived, and waiting for the boxes extended the move unnecessarily by 30 minutes.
