AAA Movers Minneapolis MN

I hired AAA Movers for a local move and it was the worst experience I have ever had with a company. They double booked my move, lied about it, and then refused to take accountability and were incredibly belligerent, disrespectful, and unprofessional. Their contracted arrival time was between 12-6pm - they did not arrive until 6:15pm. There was no proactive communication from dispatch about the delayed timeframe, and after 5:30 dispatch stopped answering my calls entirely.

I would not recommend using this moving company. We had a pretty easy move, lots of boxes but only a few furniture pieces from west suburbs to east suburbs. Movers went more than 2 hours over the quoted time, did not appear to be trying to work quickly, lots of standing around. Terry the team lead never introduced himself to us, I had to keep asking who he was to find him, he stayed in the truck majority of the time.

Absolutely the worst experience ever got a bid from them for $2350.00 for moving by phone and estimate on email when they loaded everything and got to my new home manager Evan demanded $9150.00 or he will not unload my belongings I checked my email for the estimate they had sent 2 days ago I found out they hacked into my computer and changed the bid from $2350.00 to $9150.00 I have video recording of the manager Evan admitting he did change the bid Don’t hire this company just hire someone you know to help you…

If I could give negative stars, I would. Mind-bogglingly terrible customer service. I have quite a bit of valuable art, and I paid for AAA to protectively wrap and box my art. I emphasized to the crew, Tyler in particular, that the 4 antique cloth map sections of the country I grew up in in Africa, first shown to me by my father in Africa in the early 60s, are valuable, but, more importantly, have priceless sentimental value.

This review is a long time coming. The good: AAA movers showed up on time, was flexible with routes, and didn't damage either of my homes or my materials. The ugly: the morning after I moved, my first chore of the day was to put my most valuable possetions in my safe. I had moved these by myself the day before the move and hid them the best that I could (AAA doesn't move these materials). I realized immediately that my very expensive and prized possession was stolen.

I absolutely wouldn't recommend AAA Movers for any move. As a first-time user of professional movers, I was upfront about shopping around to keep things economical, but their aggressive tactics and failure to deliver on promises turned the whole experience into a frustrating nightmare. The crew themselves were professional and friendly, which is the only positive, but everything else—from sales to execution and follow-up—was a letdown that left me regretting my choice and in a real financial bind.

I am writing this review to formally document a very disappointing experience and ensure it is clearly tied to an active claim: Case #140153. I recently had the opportunity to speak with Charlotte from Customer Service, who was professional and took the time to listen. I explained several unresolved issues related to a prior move that had already been completed, including a courtesy that ownership explicitly promised would be provided. Unfortunately, that promise was not honored.

The one star is bc a selection is required. I’d give less if possible. Where do I start—two major issues with using them. Used AAA movers recently and thoroughly read their insurance policy .60c/lb of item reimbursed for damage. I figured that was reasonable bc more than likely there would be a small scratch here or there as a normal cost of business with moving. However, the amount of monetary damage they created quickly made the insurance policy not enough.
