Since new ownership, I have tried to reach someone in the office by both email and phone numerous times, with no response. The vmail message was for another storage facility all together and I had no idea who was getting the information, which was extremely infuriating when I couldn't get signed up for the new ownerships payment app. I didn't want to lose my unit, nor its possessions. Luckily, I finally was able to access it after several days of error messages, but still nobody called!
Thank you for sharing your experience. We sincerely apologize for the frustration you’ve described during the ownership transition. That is certainly not the impression or level of service we aim to provide.
The price and location seemed great at first, but I quickly learned that you get what you pay for. The doors are frequently out of order. My biggest problem is that I keep supplies for a small business in my unit. When I needed them most the doors were not working and there was no one available to help. I was well within the hours if availability. It was a significant financial impact that I couldn’t get in my unit. I asked for a response about this. First I was ghosted and received no response.

Moved out 26 days prior to the next billing cycle on the 1st. Was told the account is prorated to start my account. As for closing the account there is no proration. When asked if I still have my unit for the remaining 26 days I was told no.

The storage rental place illegally auctioned off my items that were stored with out giving me legal time limit to redeem be careful with AAA Storage when it comes to your items you keep under their possession

When we moved to Ankeny in April of 2024, we drove by AAA Storage several times trying to decide if we needed a storage unit before stopping in. They had a special rate for new customers and nice sized storage units for the price that sold us. AAA is secure, clean, staff was friendly, and this site met our needs.

Clean facility, easy to get to, carts provided to assist moving in and out were clean and in great shape. The staff was courteous and great to work with. I would not hesitate to use AAA storage again.
