In their own words
The absolute worst movers I’ve ever experienced. Doubled their costs on the day of the move … knowing we had to move that day and could not change. The old bait and switch. Broke items on the move and then would not respond when I tried multiple times to contact them. I believe they are a dishonest business. Will never, ever use them again and neither should you. Replying to owner’s response (Tim)… So how did you arrive at an estimated price if you needed a list of items?
Mr. Johnson, Thank you for reaching out with this review as we are continually desiring to be a better moving company! I was able to speak with your wife today and discovered the damaged piece of furniture, you referred to in your review, was your antique shaving mirror.
The staff member I spoke to was very polite and kind....however that doesn’t change the fact they attempted to charge literally THREE TIMES THE COST, of ANY other movers. They wanted between $500-$800 to move a practically empty storage unit already packed and wrapped, 2 miles up the road to a smaller unit. Until this call my HIGHEST quote was $330.
I first reached out to this company as a friend had recommended them. I was given a fair quote, my dad got sick and I was afraid I wouldn’t make it back home in time to get my home packed up. So Tim went to my house to give me an estimate of what it would cost if they packed it. It was an insane amount that I couldn’t afford. I made it home in time to get about 85-90% of it packed. I was told that what ever they packed was I think $17 a box.
I don’t know what’s wrong with some of your drivers but didn’t get a number just a green truck. He got into another lane then as the last moment moved back into lane we were in didn’t even bother to look at all most hit us! We weren’t in a blind spot either didn’t even bother to look and see if someone was there. Had to slam on our breaks so he didn’t us! This driver needs to do better! We were on I-35

Able movers has a history of writing bogus checks to their employees GARCIA check recovery LLC has several of their outstanding bogus checks. I would not recommend this business he engages into criminal activity.
Brett, we do apologize for any inconvenience we have caused by not managing our books as well as we should have in certain moments and want to express our deepest apologies for the checks you referenced.
They told my sister they had an appointment and they never set it up. She called again day of and was told they would call her right back and they didn't. So she had to do it all by herself! DISGRACEFUL!
I’m sure it would be cost-effective. Some younger (loud) boys were helping load the up house. But it would also be nice to be able to drive into the neighborhood. Great for first impressions.

Their truck broke down on my move. Took forever. Many of my items were broken and they charged me over twice what quoted. Would not answer my calls about issues. Beware of them!

I called 4-5 movers prior to my move and Able Movers was the most affordable of them all. I was only needing to move bedroom furniture since the rest of the furniture in the house belonged to my roommate. The other moving companies had high minimums for someone only needing 3 pieces of furniture moved several miles away, but Able Movers offered a very affordable price! They fit me into their schedule and called an hour prior to confirm.
Such a great experience. They communicated every step of the way, and they came ready to work with positive attitudes. They were very efficient, careful, helpful, affordable, and went above and beyond. Definitely recommend and if needed, will be using their services again.

Called to have them move a very heavy tub. The guy answering the phone had no problems sending me information related to them being insured and bonded. They sent 4 men to move tub at a fair price. I had called to cancel at the very last minute because I thought I didn’t have a part. Manager willing to work with me and offered to put the tub in the bathroom and then come back later to do the install. Turned out I didn’t need the part but thankful the manager was cool and willing to work with me.
My wife and I highly recommend Able Movers in Oklahoma City. We had requested a quote on moving a massive 40 year old granite table. Their bid was literally 10 times less than the amount we were quoted from the company that had actually built the table originally. Both companies informed us that the move couldn't be guaranteed to successful. Given the price difference and the experience listed by Able Movers we decided to go with them.
