Abreu Movers - Bronx Moving Companies

Not punctual and unprofessional/aggressive management. I schedule a move and lock in a four hour window since my building does not permit night moves. I take off from work and call Abreu throughout the day as I wait. I hear back from them late in the afternoon. They inform me they will arrive after the allotted time window. I ask how long after, they say they cannot give a prediction. They say they could be up to six hours late. I speak with a secretary then to management at Abreu.

My parents have been waiting for their stuff that was moved from the Bronx to Florida and supposed to arrive 6/21 in Florida - today is 6/28 no sign of anyone or their furniture or belongings and - we’ve gotten nothing but the run around- either no one answers office phone or we get a promise of a call back with an update and no call back. So no excellent customer service no help and no answers and we can only assume at this point that our furniture and belongings are stolen

I would not recommend this company for moving. Crew was supposed to be at my place at 12, didn’t get there until 4, so by that time the crew was tired and frustrated. They didn’t like the fact that the place I was moving into had 2 flights of stairs, so instead of being careful they manhandled my furniture. The dining room table, the living room tv stand, the bedroom dresser and my portable fireplace, which were all in mint condition now have scratches all over them, they chipped a huge chunk out of the tv stand.

They were slow, unprepared and charged us the additional Time to deal with that unpreparedness. They claimed my LG C1 oled TV from 2019 was something they’ve never seen before and too new, they took paid time to go get boxes to move it, even though all of this was in our agreed items list. They asked if we had any moving supplies they could use, and they used up all our rolls of packing tape. And in the end came out 600 more expensive than the commercial moving company.

I originally was supposed to move in March but due to Covid, I moved at the ending of July. I started my inventory in March didn't finish because the world stopped. Fast forward; I rescheduled my move for July 24th, however, Mike the supervisor said he had a big job that day and can I move to 23rd, I was hesitant because that was my birthday but I agreed to do so. I gave him the run down of all my items and put a deposit down.

I am giving 2 stars only for the guys that moved the items. The company itself did not provide the workers with enough equipment to move the furniture. Hence, the move took longer than necessary (which was probably their plan all along). Thank goodness we had our own handtruck and also helped move the items. Also, the person who handles the phone calls and billing was rude at the end. She tried to stop the guys from finishing the move unless we paid. What'd they think? That we wouldn't pay?

ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE SERVICE!!!! I booked one day and my deposit was paid,. After my booking is confirmed, I get a call from the owner stating my move must be rescheduled and I can not get my deposit back, so I'm stuck to reschedule or forfeit my deposit . I list my ENTIRE inventory so they are aware the size of the move. Yet, they arrive with an ADMITTED smaller truck so they must scam me and make TWO trips because of course, the smaller truck can not accommodate the the items for one trip.

Extremely unprofessional and unreliable business. Had a last minute move and asked ahead of time if they definitely had the availability as I needed to schedule movers asap. I was assured the had the availability and would "not waste my time if they didn't". I continuously followed up with them to see if they were done "working on my quote" as I needed a booking confirmation asap.
