The 5 star ratings are misguided. Here's some sound advice should you choose to select this company. I wish I hadn't! 1. You will get the sense they are very customer service oriented. This only lasts UNTIL you approve the estimate and confirm your purchase. 2. If you are quoted $1700, don't be surprised if it's over $3000 and the movers watch the hockey game on their phones in the truck. You waive any rights to how long it actually takes once they begin. 3.

I'm not sure how they are at moving, but I did have a dangerous experience with one of their trucks on the highway. On August 3rd, one of their trucks pulled out of a tourist attraction in BC directly in front of me. The speed limit on that stretch of highway is 90 km per hour. The truck did not stop before pulling out onto the highway. I had to emergency brake to avoid a collision. There was no one behind me on the highway and they could have waited to pull out safely.
The estimate was thorough, and the movers were decent, but one was inexperienced, and it showed. I really didn't appreciate the fact that after they were loaded, we immediately drove the 10 minutes to the new location to show them the loading zone and elevator setup. Unfortunately, they didn't. We waited for 30 minutes, on the clock. They said they stopped for coffee. I suggest that in the future, they communicate that. We had to call dispatch to try to find out where they disappeared to. Not impressed at all.

I do not recommend this moving team: too many missteps. They broke a shed door and they ignored it until I pointed it out at end of the day. Broken promises to fix it. I had to buy hardware and fix it myself. It took 3 days for their office to acknowledge this and compensate. They loaded a heavy piece of furniture after being instructed to leave it behind. It was too late to retrieve it from the truck; so it was moved. I cleaned up various garbage they left behind, including a whole moving blanket.

If I could have left 0 Stars I would have. They left extensive damage on our Brand New Deep Freezer, Compensation was $200 on a $1000 Appliance. Now almost 2 months later we just found a large chunk taken out of the corner of a Antique piece of furniture. We had tipped all 3 drivers and gave them a Tim's Card..to find this 🤬 This was our first experience with a moving company..absolutely terrible!!

I can't say enough great things about this moving company! From start to finish, the experience was flawless and truly above and beyond anything I expected. I needed a very heavy concrete table delivered, and not only did they take on the challenge without hesitation, but they had it delivered in less than 24 hours from my initial contact. Used Absolute Moving for a move from downtown Calgary to far SE Calgary in early March. Their services were great. Every time I called it was quick and easy to connect with someone. Getting a quote was also quick and easy, and very accurate. The total cost ended up be nearly exactly what was quoted.
