If I could leave no stars I would. Not sure what happened . My in town move 2 years ago was great. This time un believable . First they were late, then they ran out of room on the truck and left me with a pile of "stuff" and I was leaving and moving out of town and following them .I said you guys can't leave me here with all of this stuff I have sold the house and I am leaving town. I spent two hours trying to get friends to take things and put garbage in the garage. They offered no solution.

While the moving team was friendly, professional and knowledgeable,the owner lacks business acumen. I had to send multiple texts and make multiple phone calls to try and book a date for my move - very unprofessional. He provided a quote based on detailed information provided (Did not ask for pictures or come out to site) and the job took far longer then anticipated.
They were not the worst movers I have ever used, but I certainly cannot say that I would recommend them. The moving team on the day of were lovely to deal with, I cannot say anything negative about them. They did cause some damage to our new build, but this was an accident and we understand that sometimes these things happen. The issue wasn't the damage as much as it was the communication in resolving the issue.

Mountain Movers successfully transported our belongings from point A to B within the promised timeframe, and the on-site crew worked very hard. However, several serious issues made this far from a smooth experience — and I’m honestly not sure I’d use them again. 1. Items Left Unassembled or Missing Parts: A number of items weren’t reassembled — and some couldn’t be, due to missing hardware. The crew was clearly rushed and didn’t track small parts or disassembly steps.

We had Gilbert’s Mountain Movers complete our move for us, including packing services. The issues with their service was not apparent until we started to unpack. Things were not packed as I would have expected (I have had professionals move/pack before). Example of what was done, we had hanging clothes that were wrapped around our hangers and then stuffed in the bottom of wardrobe (hanging) boxes.

We had hired Mountain Movers back at the end of February 2025. A few things to keep in mind when using them. When we had originally called, the receptionist had set a date for the move, the day came and no one showed up, we were then advised as no one had come out to give an estimate that we weren't actually booked in, of course we weren't told this and believed the estimate is optional, and could just book in for an x amount of hours. So we ended up having to pay our landlord for the extra day.

I don't know where to start. I gave one star as the guys were friendly but that is all. First off I got asked to put my move off for a day which was inconvenient but agreed to it and was promised a discount. Which never happened. After the guys left is when I started to notice things. Huge gouge in my wall, bedroom furniture had scratches, hardware that was very well taped to things were missing etc.

disappointed, I’ve called and emailed multiple times regarding a missing safety for my treadmill ( that will NOT work without it) and haven’t received any form of communication back or offered a possible solution. I moved 7 days ago now with them and haven’t heard back. I wouldn’t recommend. The job was under quoted resulting in a more expensive move, some things were left to move after and missed after unload ( I get things happen) as well payment at the end of the move was a little confusing…

We used Rocky Mountain Movers for our recent move within Calgary, and had a really great experience. Communication and booking was easy, and everyone we dealt with was very friendly. Hamid, Tyler and Rav showed up right on time. They moved everything with a lot of care, and were very efficient. They were all very nice, and really good at what they do. Everything was wrapped carefully, and nothing was damaged.

Our family recently made the move from Kananaskis to Calgary and we reached out to a number of different movers to ensure we had the best people who cared about our stuff and also ensure we had great value. I can tell you that once I got off the phone with Jeff and his team at Mountain Movers I knew we were going to work together. Thank you Gilbert's Mountain Movers (GMM). You guys are our preferred movers. We just completed our third moving experience with GMM and we can't praise their services enough. We've hired them numerous times over the past 7-years. Our first experience with GMM was when we needed a new sectional delivered from a furniture store in Calgary. GMM was extremely careful moving it into our lower level. They protected the furniture and our surroundings as they were moving.

We were very happy with Gilbert’s Mountain Movers. We were on a bit of a time crunch for our move and hired them to pack up the house and for the move (only about 10 mins away). Everything was packed and labelled well, and the packers were very friendly and efficient. Movers arrived on time the following morning and the crew of 4 worked hard and got the house packed up by just after noon. They did a great job getting some large pieces out of the basement without damage.
