We were expecting David to come by for a bid—he never showed up. No call, no message, no explanation. Nothing. We’ve done business with your company before and had a great experience with James last year. He was punctual, professional, and reliable. This time was different. David didn’t respond to our message, didn’t bother to say he was running late, and made no effort to follow up. It’s clear he didn’t care, and that says a lot.
Do not trust them when they say “it’s okay, we can move it” or try to talk you out of getting additional warranty coverage. We made that mistake—and we seriously regret it. Absolute Movers broke our brand new TV, couldn’t figure out how to reassemble our Lovesac sofa, and even put our bed together incorrectly. Several pieces of our wooden furniture came out scratched, and clearly labeled boxes were left in the wrong rooms. This was not a professional experience by any standard.
Ilana, we are sorry we did not meet you expectations. On the matter of replacing you TV. When our owner did you estimate, it was explained, we do not warrany TV's without the original box, but we will pack and move them.
Hired this company to do a local move. Had someone come out to the house to give a quote. The day the movers showed up they informed me they would not take any lamps, large electronics, plants, or the majority of the items in my attic and garage. They stated that the quote did not note all items in the attic and garage so they refused to take these items the day of the move. Spent hours moving items myself. Tried to speak to someone the day of the move and they did not call me back.
Caroline, I am truly sorry for the way you feel about your moving experience with us. That said I would like to address some of your issues. 1. In every estimate we disclose several things that we do not do. We do not warranty TV's if we move unless they are in the original box.
These guys parked in front of our driveways (and during an open house completely blocking the open house) and refused to back their truck up 10 feet so people could come and go from their home. They countered our nice requests to back up just a smidge with attitude and eye rolls. Refusing to move the moving truck. Poor customer service. Would not recommend.
David chose not to respond. Told my wife that he would come by didn't even show up. Didn't even respond to the emails and it's ashamed. We did business with them last year. They didn't want any money. David is not a good employee. He lost almost $1,500 order. He doesn't care.
Please call the office as we very much want to follow up on this. This is not at all how we do business and need to find out where the breakdown in communication happened. Thanks very much for your past business. Since this was in your wife's name, we have no way to track down the communications.

Absolute moved me to Crossville, TN. The team of Cody (lead), Bobby, Javare, Mark and Jay did an incredible job. Communication was great right from the start of asking for a quote through the end of the move. They were punctual, professional, careful and efficient with our household goods. Best Move Ever! I'd give Absolute Moving Company 10 Stars if I could! As a Navy Officer I was moved professionally many times during my career but our recent move from Virginia Beach to Richmond was the Best Move I ever experienced. I interviewed several moving companies and Absolute Moving Company offered the best moving package at a very reasonable price.
Absolute Moving Company was recommended to me by a friend in Bay Colony. After reading all the reviews, I reached out for a quote. John came to the house to look at our home and contents, asked a lot of questions, and later sent a quote based on our needs (packing and moving). It ended up being a two-day endeavor where we had one day of packing and one day of moving. I could not recommend this company enough.
I have moved 14 times in my adult life and my experience with Absolute Moving has been the absolute best! We needed movers to help with my elderly mother's move from Williamsburg to Virginia Beach. I called three different movers that I found through Yelp reviews and Absolute was the most responsive and most understanding. Their quote was very reasonable and they stayed in touch with me several times before the actual move date.
