Tidal Town Moving

I hired Tidal town moving to move my living room and bedroom set into a pod in front of my house. Although the movers were nice guys the were very careless with my expensive furniture. Three items incurred damage. I brought it to their attention and were apologetic and told me to call the company and file a claim which I did three times and never received a call. Three times they apologized but it was lip service. Very frustrating that they would ignore my calls.

The gentlemen who moved our furniture were careless and unprofessional. After breaking my bed frame they did not tell me they just took the payment and left abruptly. I said they could just set the bed at the bottom of the stairs and I would get it up there but instead they scratched the paint off the wall and disassembled the bed on the staircase causing additional damage to our newly furnished apartment. They were aggressive and breaking the joints of the bed and bending the screws ports to fix it.

So disappointed with this company. We hired them due to a recommendation and the support of the Google Reviews only to have an AWFUL experience with our interstate move. We bought the extra insurance they offered hoping we would not need it but upon arrival at our destination we were horrified to see how they had packed the truck (see attached pictures) They did NOT wrap vintage furniture as we requested and instead piled it all in on top of each other.They loaded heavy items on top of boxes marked fragile, and…

I recently purchased a home and although I’ve used another company in the past I decided to go with tidal town moving, HUGE mistake!!! Not only did they drop my very expensive marble table, they also broke the base!!! After complaining about the quality of my bed frame the lead mover stripped the bolts and ultimately my bed was left at my apartment.

I would not recommend this company, and will never use them again or refer them to anyone!!! In the past, I used this company and had a far better experience. This time around a job that should've been shorter was stretched out. For example, I moved from one storage facility to another about 25 mins away. The truck had no ramp, items that could've went on a flat were being carried by hand, and they stopped in between the job at Wawa.

Paid almost $3000 for a one bedroom apartment into a storage for a 3 bedroom house about 1 mile away. Job was sloppy and unfinished. Signed a waiver because I thought it would be rectified in my claim and was misdirected. Please read BBB review. I wish I had. I gave them ample time to rectify the situation and their response was that “these things happen” and that due to the waiver, they were not liable.

If you are looking for professional moving company Tidal Town Movers is not the company. They sent three young men who wrapped my furniture and put it on their truck stop for lunch break. Later arriving at the new address and begin unloading. Until one worker comes in to inform me he had bad news. He stated we dropped your dresser. The leg was broken completely off. They are not a professional company because they do not want to pay fair value for my dresser.

Stay far away from this "company", especially if you're military. I was billed over my time because their truck and employees stopped at 7/11 to get snacks. When i called to dispute this I got told that the time matches up "on their end". On top of being rough with my household goods, they have shady billing practices, and rude staff. This is the third time i've used their service and it's been by far the worst. We will never use them again and I beg you.... STAY FAR AWAY. Photo of truck at the store attached.
