Action Moving | Edmonton Movers Since 1988

We recently moved using Action for the move. I was sure I would be giving them a fair rating up until the last hour of the move. We told the office people that we had a couple of antiques and a couple of heavy items. One being a 300 lb. statue. The movers carefully wrapped and secured and moved this heavy item to the new house with no problems. Then the worse happened. One mover decided to try moving the statue by himself. It took three to load it but Hercules thought he could handle it by himself.

We had a recent provincial move. We got overcharged for a NON COMPLETED service. Employees might be involved on charging more and out of invoice since as of today we never got a call for follow up , but they arevwilling to "help" on their own (not even on the day of move in the middle of emergency < our stuff did not fit complete in their truck> ) . I need to speak to the owners. Order 13777-1

Very poor customer service. Action moving was unprepared and late.I used action moving to move from an apartment from one side of the river to the other about 2km. The appointment was scheduled for the morning, and they did not show up until late in the afternoon. This meant that our booking of the elevator and loading area was limited, and therefore they left behind a substantial portion of furniture and boxes.

Booked my move with Chaise and that part was good and easy. Had a 1 bedroom unit to move about 7 minutes away. Quote came back as 2-3 hours and $697.64. While I do understand an estimate is an estimate, the move took 8 HOURS. No idea how that happened. I still only had a 1 bedroom unit to move. I asked the movers twice if I had more stuff than normal and each time, they said no.

I have had to wait a few months to post this review as I hired action moving and storage to move and store my furniture for about 4 months and could not review while they still had my property. To begin, for my first move they were very late getting to the job and when they arrived only 2 movers were there instead of 3. They then brought a third person later on.

We hired this company not only to move my father in-law out of his current home but also move all of us to our new home. I will say the did offer to store my father in-laws boxes until we moved into the new place. however after that it was terrible. We had hired them to pack my father in-laws home and at first they were wonderful but when we had to unpack the boxes it was a nightmare. The packers had locked a few cabinets but we were unable to find the keys, as they were not taped to the cabinets!

Completely awful move thanks to the people working in the office. I was moving from a 3 bedroom condo style apartment, with 3 flights of stairs going up to apartment and one flight inside and this was relayed to Action Moving when I booked with them. They sent 2 movers, and when they got to my apartment they were surprised at how many stairs they would have to be climbing up and down to move us!

I had referral to use Action. Called them and set up everything and mentioned that I am living in a condo and need to book the elevator and I will be charge for that. They were late at that day. I called many times. they gave me wrong driver then someone else called me said they are on their way. They were late and I was told by my condo that I also have to pay extra using the elevator which I called Shannon and explained and she said 2hrs is more than enough.
