I have used a number of moving companies and never had a problem or an issue, until now. I am not sure how Adam's moving stays in business. STAY FAR FAR AWAY. The day started out alright (with the movers showing up only about 15-30 minutes later). However, about an hour in, the movers started repeatedly talking about the tip they were expecting to receive. My wife informed them that if they do a good job they could expect to receive a tip on the credit card when she paid them.
This is by far an extremely sub standard moving company!!! I was told that they would be there for 6 hours...the one in charge said they would only be there for 3 and didnt care what I was told by the man I spoke to on the phone...and they over charged by almost $500....Antique pictures just thrown randomly into a box...my crocheting projects taped together with no regard for all that I have. The men were rude and very indifferent to any instructions I gave them. I was also assisted in payment by a church.
In the words of the late Tom Petty - don't do me like that! We didn't use Adams for our move because "Kevin" pulled a bait and switch on us a week before our move. He emailed us and said that he had previously misquoted the hourly rate to us and that it'd be $600+ more for our move. Nah man - that's on you. Took a lot of nerve to pull that on us a week before our move. But two can play this game.
*The lack of professionalism and accountability in the owner's response to this review further emphasizes my point here. My husband and I had scheduled a move with Adam's Moving and Hauling a month in advance of the day we needed to move. The day of, we received a call the morning of stating that because someone had not shown up to work that day, they would not be able to do the move. Kevin assured us that they would be able to send a crew out at 1PM that same day. Well, 1PM came and went, then 2PM came and went..

I am extremely disappointed with my experience. Our move had been scheduled for several weeks, as my 92-year-old grandparents were relocating to an assisted living community with very strict move-in dates and times. Just two days before the scheduled move, Adam’s informed us that they could no longer complete the job due to their truck needing service. This last-minute cancellation placed our family in a very difficult position, given the limited flexibility imposed by the community.

I secured Adam’s Moving and Hauling to move my whole house from Skippack, Pennsylvania, to Schwenksville, Pennsylvania two weeks ago. Their price was fair and communication to schedule was good. The Crew of 3 arrived in the window of time as scheduled and finished in less time than estimated, so they were all tipped nicely. Unfortunately, I found that my new home was damaged in the moving process to include a deep gouge out of a bedroom wall, and several chips out of my hardwood floor.

We did advise you ahead of time of our minimum charge. If we had known that you would only have half the items you told us you would have, we would have estimated 3-4 hours and booked a job after yours.

We had an outstanding experience with Adam's Moving Services. Our move involved a very old three-story home with extremely narrow, steep staircases—far from an easy job—but the three movers handled it with impressive efficiency and care. We especially want to recognize their lead foreman, Andrew, along with Michael and Pedro. Their teamwork, professionalism, and positive attitude stood out from start to finish.

Hands down the best movers I've ever used. I can't recall how much the price was but they were incredible. Shockingly, nothing was broken in the move. I ordered pizza for the workers (in addition to the tip which they earned!) and they must have spent less than 5 minutes eating and got back to work. I told them to relax take a break but they went in hard. The care with which they showed my belongings and the SPEED...

The Andrew team (Andrew, Pedro, and Brandon) provided the most satisfying moving experience I’ve ever had in my seven moves since getting married. We had heavy furniture on the second floor and a narrow staircase, which must have been very challenging.
