In their own words
Unfortunately had a very poor experience with this company. They billed us more than double the original estimate. We had to pay extra when their staff missed the ferry, which was not our fault. Their communication was not good and the management was unprofessional. I clearly labeled boxes that contained fragile items and almost every box was delivered with broken items, probably 25-35 broken dishes- many were family heirlooms. I cut my finger on broken glass while unpacking.
We're sorry to hear about your experience. After reviewing our records, we were unable to locate a move under the name associated with this review. If the move was booked under a different name, we'd appreciate the opportunity to identify the job and review the concerns you've raised.
I’m wish there was a button for ZERO stars! This was a horrific experience working with this company and I urge everyone to say away. After an initial (seemingly great experience) phone call with estimates, Information, etc, with the moving specialist, everything went terribly wrong soon after we paid the deposit. The movers were very late on the day they/time they were scheduled. They tried to say that we would owe more money.
This review is for a different company. We don't do long distance moves, ever. Please remove this review and find the actual company that handled your move. Adam French, Owner [phone removed]
This is not the wrong company, i hired this company because they advertised as local and the reviews were good. Adams moving will never be recommended by me to the business I work with or to personal relationships. Worst Moving Experience Ever - Unprofessional and Unacceptable I have moved frequently for work over the last 20 years and have worked with many moving companies, but this was by far the worst experience I’ve ever had. The level of unprofessionalism was shocking.
Ashlie, you have reviewed our company in error. You did not work with us. The name of our business is Adam's Moving and Delivery Service. We are a local company in Seattle WA and only operate in that area. You must have used a company with a similar name.
Never use this company. Broken items, missing boxes, dropped communication when I complained. Scratched our golf cart up that had a graphic wrap on it and said all they could offer was $100.
Hey Gary, I think this review went to the wrong Adams Moving Service. We are a small local company in Seattle, WA and don't see your name in our records. We are sorry about your situation but if you could take this review down as it doesn't pertain to our company that would be great.
If I could give less than a one star, I would. Their communication is absolutely terrible and they promised delivery and never deliver. It took me over three weeks to get my belongings. And they kept promising me that it would happen in the next day the next day, and it never did. I planned so far in advance to make sure I had my things by the time I moved.
Miss Jane, You are looking for a different company. We are located in Seattle and only conduct local moves. There is another company called Adam Moving and I agree with you, they are terrible and we hear these stories frequently unfortunately. I would advise you to contact the UTC and the DOT.
Adam’s Moving is communicative, professional, and works efficiently. However, this review is about what happened after the move. When I unpacked my stuff, my OLED TV was severely damaged. The screen had a permanent bubble wrap imprint. Adam’s later stated that their standard procedure is to wrap TVs in moving pads, not bubble wrap. I know neither I (I had already moved away) nor my family wrapped it, so I’m unclear how this happened other than Adam's bubble wrapping the screen.
Kusha, Thank you for your feedback, we're sorry to hear about your experience. To provide some additional context, our team followed your specific request to bubble wrap to the TV, which is not part of our standard packing protocol.
I want to start out by spelling out this company's name so there will be no confusion for other moving companies with similar names. They are called Adam's Moving & Storage and the manager I spoke to is Mr. Aaron Green. There should be no star for this company! I paid our $500 deposit to Adam's on June 16th, 2021 to secure a moving date on Sept 4-7th. Later they said can't be earlier, have to be but guaranteed on 09/07/2021. Then they called months later, said the pick up date can only be guaranteed on 09/08.
You have left a review for the wrong business. The name of our company is Adam's Moving and Delivery Service. We are not Adam's Moving and Storage. They are a long-distance carrier with a similar name. We conduct services in the Seattle area only.
I'm giving two stars because they overcharge for a 3 star job, in my opinion. At least with my move. The big thing was that they dropped a large antique dresser and didn't tell me about it. While I was waiting in my new apartment I heard a massive crash. I went out and saw that all of the drawers had fallen out (probably because they never used any equipment to help them move, it was just two guys struggling the whole time). Anyway, they proceeded to bring it up like nothing happened.
Hello Jared, Thank you for your feedback. I sincerely apologize for the issues you experienced during your move, and I completely understand your frustration with the damage to your antique dresser and the concerns about our pricing.
What satisfied customers point to
The same method, applied to the four and five star reviews. Most movers are praised for the same handful of things, so what is missing here is often as telling as what is present.

In their own words
I have used Adam's moving service twice. The first one was 2 yrs ago to move from condo to condo within same building. The movers were fast and efficient. The second time was recently for a long haul move 2 hours away. The guys were professional, on time and the price was good value. However, I did noticed the experience between the two crews were quite different. The first being more experienced than the second crew.
We hired Adam's to move our single story home to a second story apartment, and the whole process from start to finish was about as easy as you could ask for! We'd reached out to a few movers, and not only did Adam's respond fastest, and with the earliest availability, but also with the lowest quote. The team that arrived on moving day were all extremely friendly, worked very fast, and were very careful and communicative.
As someone who has somewhat regular experience with government contracted movers I was expecting about the same experience arranging movers for a personal move. I'm glad to say that the actual move exceeded my expectations by a quite a bit. I booked the move a good few weeks in advance and Adam's Moving services periodically checked in with me prior to the move date to confirm details, offer additional services, etc.
I've used several movers over the years and was beginning to think they were all the same. Rude and careless. I can't tell you how many times I've heard movers making explicit and nasty comments right in front of me about the timing of my move, or the inconvenience of my place, or the size of my furniture (meanwhile, they'll crack doorframes, gouge holes in walls, and damage furniture). I even had one mover refuse to leave my property until I gave him a cash tip because he didn't want the digital tip.
