Pure Moving Company Seattle Movers Local & Long Distance

Overall, disappointed in Pure Moving’s services and I would not use again. I had a cross-country move from Seattle to New York, a route specifically listed on their website, so I thought this was something they have done before and could handle. Organization, communication, and execution with Pure Moving fell short on all three.

I would not recommend Pure Moving Company based on my experience getting a quote for an interstate move. I initially spoke with someone who told me that a one-bedroom interstate move would generally fall around $3,500–$5,500, and we scheduled a virtual walkthrough. After the walkthrough, the quote came back at $7,666 for standard delivery, based on an estimate of 1,044 cubic feet / 7,308 lbs.

Movers did a pretty good job loading the truck and worked fast in the beginning and then slowed way down towards the end. At the end, while signing the paperwork, they asked me to fill out this review (which I’m totally fine with doing) I was a little uncomfortable when he asked me to write it in front of him - which was fine, a little strange, but fine. But what made me most uncomfortable was when he asked me to pull up the review and show him. He said he had to take a picture of it to show his boss.

Very mixed experience. Communication before the move was fine, but the move itself was inefficient and much longer than it should have been for a 1-bedroom apartment. The crew arrived late and seemed inexperienced, lacking basic tools, which caused long delays during bed disassembly and elevator planning. Because the move was falling behind, I personally helped move several loads of boxes to try to prevent further delays.

We had a call scheduled and no one showed up. They made me upload videos before the call then, skipped the meeting, then over a month later, which was well after my move, they responded with an estimate. Never called back or apologized for skipping the meeting. Receipts attached.

I was quite disappointed about the service. Their online photos looked pretty professional, and the reviews are all super good, but the service we recently received didn’t live up to the expectations. When our 3-mover crew arrived, two of them looked like teenagers, none dressed in the green shirt advertised. They just felt like from a different company compared to the photos presented on google or yelp.

Not impressed… I’m giving two starts bc they were efficient and packed things well. However the guys that showed up were extremely passive, aggressive and rude. It was a very stressful day, and they didn’t make it any easier. At the end when we did the price breakdown we were originally quoted at a different price, but it was different after the service was done, which is fine sometimes things can fluctuate and that’s not why I was irritated.

I am not sure why there are so many 5 star ratings for this moving company. It must be every time there is a complaint, this company offers hush money to preserve this pristine rating as they attempted with me. I booked Pure for a standard 1 bedroom move job between locations less than 30 minutes apart. Do not believe that the fee is flat as in the end all sorts of strange fees are added to the final bill as they charge traffic fee, double charges, whatever they can nickel and dime from you.
