This is an update to my previously positive review, because several serious issues came to light after the move. After giving Kangaroo Movers a detailed inventory — including photos — they estimated $915 for Day 1. When the day ended, the bill was $3,700, more than four times the quote, based on hours they simply didn’t work. I planned the move around their original estimate and was blindsided by the inflated charge.
Will not deliver and also participates in illegal activities. Stating they will donate my things after 2 weeks which is against the law. I had to file a lawsuit and also I have NO receipt of anything gave MULTIPLE invoices for different prices than in texts other different amounts. Continue to change prices and I have asked to speak with the legal team but nothing.
Dear Darcell, We have a full proven track of all your scam actions. And also a report from head manager of the charity organization statibg that you are BANNED for scam/fraudulent activity.
We had so many issues with them and they lied about what they offered. Let me list them all out for you. 1) Communication issues from the get go. We were told we'd get a 1 hr notice before the scheduled time for the move. They called us 30 minutes before the scheduled time and wouldn't make it to location in 30 minutes. So we had to push the time back a bit and they wanted to charge us for it. We pushed back since they told us we'd get an hour notice. 2) during the move, they were not careful with out stuff.

Items missing including 1 One red box toolsets as shown in pictures Ultra Steel 110-Piece Home Repair Tool Set. Bought at Walmart. Compact for apartments or small homes. Perfect for when you're moving into a first apartment.
Dear Tim, Thank you for informing us about the experience you've had last Saturday! Our company is consumer oriented and will focus to eliminate such problems in the future. Upon completion of the move, you checked the truck and confirmed that all your belongings had been unloaded.
Completely unreliable. Kangaroo Moving didn’t show up for my scheduled move and stopped answering the phone on moving day. This left me stuck with no help at the worst possible time. Based on my experience, I would not use this company again.
It is IMPORTANT to be CAREFUL about this company. While the movers were nice & respectful, their BILLING is NOT. I was told by a dispatcher named Rista that I would be billed $140/hour for cash & $150 an hour for a credit card. WOW, how moving charges have gone up. Anyhow, while this part was clear to me, it was NEVER made clear that I would be BILLED for a FULL DAY’S MOVE even though the move took only 6 hours.
Dear Mr. Winter, Your review contains several statements that are not accurate. The claim that you were charged for a “full day’s move” is not true. You were billed strictly based on the hourly rate that was clearly stated and agreed to prior to your move.
I chose Kangaroo after cancelling with another mover because of their reviews. The booking process started off well — Rista, who helped me with the reservation, was kind and considerate. However, my experience took a sharp turn the day before my move. I received a call (which I later realized was likely from the company) and when I called back, I was met with one of the most disrespectful interactions I’ve ever had with a service provider.
Absolute worst customer service I have ever had to deal with. Inconsistent information coming from two different people in the company. My partner was quoted over $600 to move her things 1.1 miles away from our previous apartment. I was quoted $470 to move my things 30 miles away. I was told the time started when they arrived at my location. My partner was told the clock started when they leave their location.

This was, without a doubt, the smoothest and most stress-free move I have ever experienced. From the initial booking to the final box being placed, their service was top-tier. Efficiency and Speed: The crew arrived right on time, immediately got to work, and were incredibly fast without ever seeming rushed.
This company was fantastic from start to finish. I met some of their movers in an elevator at a friend's apartment building and they asked "do you need movers??" I liked that they were trying to drum up business while in the middle of a move! A few weeks later, I was in need of movers so I reached out via email and they responded with lightning speed, a lot of availability, and fair pricing. The movers (Juan and Jordan!!) arrived on time and were friendly, professional, and hardworking.
Update Jan 2026 ———————- Needed to move again recently and this time from stuff from my place to storage. Same great experience. On time, speedy and efficient. They packed up my place, packing the furniture carefully and moved everything at speed. The price quoted was very reasonable (pay cash if possible for a discount) and everything was done within 3 hours. What more can I say, will probably use them again when I have to move the stuff back to a new place in the next few months. Thanks Kangaroo movers!
