Eco Movers Moving & Storage Seattle Movers

Don’t use this company to move! We chose this moving company because the salesperson assured us our furniture would remain stored on the original trucks for 3 days before delivery, minimizing handling and potential damage. We even paid extra for truck storage and additional insurance. Unfortunately, that promise turned out to be false. On delivery day, after hours of delays and poor communication, we discovered our furniture had actually been unloaded into a warehouse days earlier.

FOR WOMEN: I hired Eco Movers for a short local move and had a deeply uncomfortable and disappointing experience. The most concerning part of the move was the on-site conduct. While I was alone in the home, three male movers cornered me alone upstairs and repeatedly asked me personal questions about my relationship status, whether I planned to stay with my boyfriend, and other unrelated topics concerning my income and saying “you must be rich”.

Update: After my initial claim was denied, my son’s bed collapsed when he slept in it. The movers assembled it in the wrong room, used the wrong tools, stripped all the screws, and ruined the frame. This was not just careless but a serious safety hazard for my child. Eco Movers offered me a token refund of one hour of service for the “inconvenience.” This is completely inadequate given the negligence and the fact that my son’s bed is now destroyed.

UPDATE: They also mention there was limited space in our home which is why our bottom floor resulted in it being crammed. lol Is there a specific reason why they couldn’t take half those boxes upstairs where they belong? The response is pretty wild. If your team feels hot, let them communicate that with the people that are hiring them instead of taking it upon themselves to plug it in after not even bringing everything else upstairs.

The move itself was fantastic the movers were great at their job and were a pleasure to be around. After all was said and done they called their dispatcher, got the time theh finished, and gave me my final bill. I paid in cash thanked them and continued on with my life. However the next morning i get woken up by a call from this company trying to extort more money out of my.

This is the first one-star review I've ever left. We noticed the team left an oversided piece of artwork in our old home, so we'll need to figure out how to get that to our new place. Our moving team arrived promptly as scheduled and assured us our moving project looked "easy" and was "no problem," but after quickly loading half the truck in about 45 minutes, they reallllly slowed down. We were quoted a 4-hour minimum, and it honestly felt like the team was trying to extend beyond the 4 hour mark.

UPDATE Feb 13, 2017: Update: I originally posted this review here, on Google and on the Eco-Movers facebook page. Within an hour of posting, they called me to discuss my missing furniture. They suggested sending one of their guys out to my house to see if he could locate the missing items (... sure, ok). Shortly thereafter, they sent someone out. Not surprisingly, they were unable to find the furniture BECAUSE IT WAS LOST BY THEM DURING THE MOVE, HELLO.

I hired Eco Movers for a move on May 30. The move itself was handled fine, they lost 1 full-sized mirror but one thing overshadowed the experience. I had a few shots remaining in a bottle of Louis XIII cognac, MSRP $4,500, that my partner and I explicitly told the crew, twice, not to touch, because we were saving it. While we were in another room, one of the movers drank what was left and finished it off, then continued working as if nothing had happened.
