They are laborers, not movers. If you care about your property, go with a different company. We paid to have them pack and move the contents of our entire house and they damaged TVs, a new refrigerator, walls, doorways, banisters, and the flooring. After reporting the damage, they said they would pay 60 cents per pound for damaged items, so for the $1600 worth of damage to the TVs and computer monitor, they offered us $105 ($35 per TV/monitor).
Michael, We are surprised by the review considering your moved happened in August of 2020 and came to an agreement. Please feel free to call in and discuss this further if you would like.
I don't even know where to begin. I booked with this company over a month in advance. I then e-mailed 4 days prior to confirm my date and start time of 11-12am and received confirmation. The day before, I received a call from the manager/boss Alex who asked if my time was flexible. I told him no because I had Xfinity coming at 1 to set up my internet. At 12:45, no movers had shown up and no one had called me to communicate at all. I called twice with no answer.
I am sorry that you had such a poor experience with your move Lindsay. If there is anything we can do to make things right do not hesitate to give us a call!
AVOID!! CANCELED ON US DAY/ HOUR OF!!! I would give this company negative stars if I could. 2 weeks before my moving date I booked with them and had a contract stating a specific time/date. They rescheduled me to earlier in the day without my confirmation. That time did not work for us since we were preparing for the time in the contract. The movers reached out to my husband saying they were 5 minutes away which we said would not work and wanted to stick with our original time.
The events described in your review are not accurate. At the time of booking, you specifically requested to be moved to an earlier morning time slot if one became available (Which you agreed to making on move day).
DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! They damaged our furniture and lost our clothing and will not accept responsibility. I was told by a very wise man that I would find out the integrity of the business by their response to our damages and losses. If I could give zero stars I would.
The items we took into storage were signed off by you as well as signed off when delivered receiving it in full to your new storage unit outside of our business. You also hired a moving company after us who handled your items into your home from your storage facility.
I've been trying to help by spending my money with smaller companies, especially since the COVID outbreak to help try & keep these business's going. However, the word AFFORDABLE should go ahead and be removed in this business's name. So far we've spent as much money for them just to move the belongings out of the property that we've paid movers in the past to move OUT & back IN a new property!!
Hello there, I am very sorry to hear about your recent experience with us and while I am not 100% educated on the situation I would love to be, and I would love to work with you to figure out what went wrong and make things right.
Used them last year and thought I would use them again this year. Not sure what happen to service but we were met with attitude specifically by one of the movers who would jokingly say "you can help us move boxes" ... If I had the ability to move myself I would , why am I paying you for ? The other mover tried to apologize for the other, I can't remember both names I think 1 was AT ?

I cannot even mark 1 star. The move took 10 hours for a 1700 sq. ft. condo. They were understaffed and ill prepared. Then, when I voiced my concerns was told this usually happens and upon a conversation with Alex who booked the move 2 months in advance, that I was a liar and had requested what it would take to make the move sufficiently, who is the professional here?
Catherine Z Plant is a scammer. She did not pay a dime for her move. Catherine Z Plant had called and scheduled her move two months in advance, this is probably the only factual thing she says in the entire review. She also called once a week changing the entire aspect of her move.
Worst experience I have ever had moving!! The movers told my family they wouldn’t take everything we had already moved outside by the truck for them, however, half the truck wasn’t even filled up. Leaving us to make an additional 5 trips to get everything, and each trip was over 100 miles round trip. Kimberly told us it was our fault the movers wouldn’t take everything but when we asked them to load it in the truck, they told us no. Maybe they should train their employees to take direction from the customers??!

Affordable Moving was amazing from start to finish for our move! They were the most responsive out of all the companies I reached out to, provided a reasonable quote quickly, and kept us updated regularly all the way up to moving day. Other moving companies tried various scare tactics to keep us away from the competition but Affordable was straightforward about everything and didn't pressure us in any way.

Easily the best move experience I have ever had. We did a lot of work ahead of time to prep, but their crew (Tony, Matt, Xavier) was awesome. Said they'd show up at 8am and showed up ready to roll at 7:58. Stuff was being moved as I was signing the paperwork at the beginning. They were efficient and careful the whole way through. The unloading process was just as good. They also do haul away and consignment.
