OMG RUN RUN. RUN!!!!! Simply the worst!! BBB COMPLAINT: They ruined several items totaling $3000+ and sent a check for $200! They claim that I picked the lower insurance, but I was never offered a type of insurance, only a price. I assumed they were fully insured. I am giving them this opportunity to pay the $3000 before I file a complaint with the insurance division of Colorado. They are required by law to offer all types of insurance and allow me to pick one.
Called because I got a few flyers in the mail. I spoke to Mike when I called to get details on Galt as well as an over-the-phone estimate. Several times during the course of our call Mike interrupted me to put me on hold. He also put his hand over the phone while I was talking and I could hear him talking to someone else. It was clear I was not his priority and that didn’t make me feel all warm and fuzzy about potential spending thousands of dollars with this company.
To be clear, we did NOT do business with Mr Kane, he made a single phone call to our company. Mr. Kane, please check your spam folder as your estimate was sent the same day we spoke. And my apologies for not calling you back as well as putting you on hold several times during our conversation.
This company is a joke and for a family company has no family values. My move was problematic from the beginning, they were late, forgot mattress bags for protection and did damage to my home I was moving out of. They damaged many of my items during the move. Two days after moving into my new home I had a very close family member pass away and I had to leave immediately and travel. I was out of town for two weeks to handle the death. When I got home and unpacked I submitted 2 claims for damage done.
We have used Galt Moving and Storage on several occasions and have always been pleased with their service and professionalism. Mike, Heidi, and all of the movers go out of their way to make your move as painless as possible. More recently, we recommended Galt to our daughter and son-in-law and their move went perfectly. Another friend of ours is planning to use Galt when she moves in October. Galt works on a hourly basis but in so doing, works quickly to get you loaded and on to your new location.
Owner underestimated how much time and furniture we had to move. Trucks were completely full as well as our personal cars and movers left MANY things behind because there was no more room. Some artwork was damaged and not disclosed but actually hidden so we wouldn’t find it till movers were gone. Many scratches/damages and losses PLUS they demanded additional funds be paid to them before leaving. I would definitely think twice before hiring them again!
Whoever is running this place is a joke! They moved my sister a few weeks ago. They showed up with 4 guys, 1 of them was on crutches and another one spent most of the move sitting on the truck. The other 2 guy's did a great job and worked hard the whole time. We also had some damages to the walls that they claimed was not them. I couldn't believe we were paying for 4 guy's, should of been only 2 guy's.
Sir, first I would like to thank you for your kind words about our movers. They are the best in the business, and we take great pride in there ability to deliver 5 star service consistently. I believe there has been a miscommunication with you and your sister.

Just completed a great move with Galt movers. Crew headed by Christian.was very friendly and hard working . They managed to move everything efficiently and carefully so that we actually came in under estimate. Would highly recommend them. And as they advertise there were no additional charges.
I just had an amazing moving experience, and that's not something I thought I would ever say. Thanks to Chris, Armund, Jeff, and Ronnie. They showed up on time, they took good care of our belongings, and they kept in good communication throughout the day. They came in below the initial estimate too, which is a bonus. I would 100% recommend them to friends and family and, apparently, the Internet too. Kudos to these guys for doing an excellent job.
We recently used Galt moving for our local move and we were very impressed from start to finish! Their customer service is fantastic, they really do go above and beyond. The woman I spoke with when I initially called to get a quote was so nice and friendly, and helped me with every thing I needed to schedule the move. The movers were on time and did a fantastic job moving all of our stuff. They were very professional and polite.
I needed movers to help me move heavy furniture around my house. From one level to another. Things like large curio cabinets, couches, buffets, roll top desks. I called and asked when they could do it, they gave me a date, which was great, because I was flexible. I did ask if it could be sooner to let me know. The owner was very professional and courteous. He told me he would do what he could. He called me back when he said he would, and moved the time and date up for me.
Vikki. Thank you for the kind words. You are a 5 star client and it was an a pleasure doing business with you. Hope you don't need moving services again for a long time, but if you do, we will be here for you!
