Affordable Top Notch Movers

DO NOT HIRE THEM. Movers STOLE my kids dresser, after assembling my stuff I noticed some more stuff were missing including all the screws for mounting equipment. They were very careless with my belongings, some equipment were broken. I paid for packaging they complained they didn’t want to do it. Communication was horrible. They DO NOT assemble TVs or certain furniture so find some movers that actually offer that. He completely ghosted me after I kept begging them to bring back my dresser.

Extremely rude and unsettling. False advertising. They condition part of the fee on receiving a 5-star review before payment, explicitly stating the service fee would increase if no 5 star review was left. See images.

I didn’t want to have to leave this review because the movers were extremely nice. However, ATN movers left me no choice. I recently moved 15 minutes away from one place to another. When we arrived to our new place and the movers informed us they were finished, we went in to give them our payment. When we walked in they informed us, 1, they had broken a sentimental gift and the glass and liquid was all over our clothes (seemed as if the box was dropped during transport), then they also broke our living room glass…

I have used ATN Movers three times in the last two years (2021, 2022, 2023). The first two times were for local moves within Northern Virginia, and the third time was for an interstate move (Virginia to New York). The first two moves were great -- it felt like my things were handled with care, and the movers worked efficiently. They charge an hourly rate but don't drag their feet to try to get you to pay more than you need to. Unfortunately, my most recent experience with them wasn't great.

Did not end up booking — the attempt alone was a red flag. I filled out their website inquiry form on 9/12. They replied on 9/15 with preliminary rates (nothing final). That same day, I confirmed my interest and provided all the extra details they asked for (unit photos, what I’d be moving). Then — silence. After 2 days, I followed up. Nothing. Three more days, followed up again, even asking if my intended move date was still available. When they finally replied, they still didn’t provide a final estimate.

Beware of Top-Notch Movers – A Horrible Experience** I had an absolutely terrible experience with Top-Notch Movers. They are one of the worst moving companies out there. When they finally delivered our belongings, nearly 50% of our items were either broken or severely damaged. On top of that, our furniture arrived scratched, dented, and in worse condition than when they picked it up. The company’s name is completely misleading – there's nothing "top-notch" about their service.

I would STRONGLY advise stay away from this moving company. I scheduled with ATN Movers on January 13th 2025 for a March 07th 2025 move. Provided all the information and pictures that was requested by Eddie the owner. Texted me my confirmation with the pricing and all that were to be included in my move. Sent text message a week before my move date and left a voice messages . NEVER responded. Also called and sent text message 2 days before my move, STILL NEVER respond.

A representative called me right after I left my initial review and pressured me to change my star rating. I explained that for a standard studio apartment move within 10 miles, 2 movers should be sufficient. However, they quoted me around $600 and insisted on using 4 movers, which felt excessive and unjustified given the size and distance of the move. It’s clear they care more about controlling reviews than offering reasonable service and that says a lot about how this company operates.
