All My Sons Moving & Storage

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY IF YOU ARE A SINGLE WOMAN. My experience was extremely unprofessional and made me feel uncomfortable in my own home. To start, they brought an extra worker without asking me beforehand, then charged me for him. The final cost ended up being about double the original quote. Throughout the move, one of the workers repeatedly brought up tipping, which made me feel pressured. They also broke my $250 mirror.

If I could give negative stars I would. They stole jewelry and other items. They damaged my property and furniture. They also broke my front door then refused the insurance claim.

I gave them simple instructions. I need everything packed out in a pod, and off my hardwood floors so they can be refinished. I paid $1300 for 4 hours labor plus materials, travel fees, etc. so I figured they could follow simple instructions. I come back the next day and the closets are still full, furniture still in dining room on top of the hardwood, candle wax spilt on the hardwood floors, and my stairs are banged up from where they dragged the fridge down them. Fridge is also dented up.

I will give them one thing they were available last minute. However, I should have noticed and read all of the terrible reviews in a sea very good ones. If I could go back in time I would have chosen a different moving company more in advance. The manager said having three crew members instead of two would speed things up and make the move go faster. Haaaha somehow we end up with four movers and this was one of the most unpleasant slow moving experiences.

We’ve used this company in the past for moves in other states and had good experiences, so this one was disappointing. The unpacking crew arrived 4-5+ hours later than expected, and communication throughout the delay was poor. we had gotten a hotel the night before so we’d be there on time which was unnecessary and a waste of money due to how late they were. We called multiple times for updates, and even the main office couldn’t tell us where the crew was or why we hadn’t heard from them directly.

I was quoted on having my furniture and the contents of my storage unit moved. I was told several times by my estimator that the quote I received was almost certainly an overestimate. I was told that the movers would be at my house between 9 and 10 and did not show up until almost 10:45. I had to call around 10 to make sure they were still coming. The movers were aware of the storage unit, but seemed to have no idea that I had items in my garage and patio furniture that would need to be transported.

I would never recommend this moving company to anyone. I booked my move weeks in advance and even called the week before moving day to confirm all details, timing, and expectations. I was reassured that everything was set and that they would take care of us. Then, just THREE DAYS before my scheduled move, they called and asked if I could change my moving date because they had overbooked themselves.

This was my third time using All My Sons moving and unfortunately, my last. The past two times I have utilized their moving services were a breeze -- the guys showed up on time, worked quickly and efficiently, and I was not shocked by my bill whatsoever. This time was NOT it. I scheduled for a move about a month ago for August 8th at 9am. First, two days before the move, they call asking if they can reschedule me. I said I didn't have any flexibility. They said they understood.
