In their own words
I had an extremely disappointing experience with this moving company and would not recommend them to anyone. Before the move, I was clearly told one pricing structure. However, after the movers arrived, the pricing method was changed without proper explanation or my consent. This kind of bait-and-switch pricing is completely unacceptable and unprofessional. The move ended up taking 7 hours, which is unreasonably long for the amount of furniture involved.
This customer would not listen to anyone. She kept over talking while not understanding what we were even trying to get at. Her contract states that lampshades should be boxed or they won't be covered.
DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! Chad, the owner, came to my house and specifically told my wife and I that everything we needed moved would fit on a 26 foot truck. I reached out to him a couple nights before our move and informed him of a couch we weren't sure of taking was coming and he said that's fine. The day of the move, the movers show up 45 minutes late and take 4 hours to load the goods in 2 trucks instead of the promised 26 foot truck.
Unfortunately I did miss his phone call, but promptly returned his call with no answer. This customer changed the date of his move twice and unfortunately the truck he initially requested was already booked with another job. We tried several times to reason with this customer.
They lied and damaged things! I hired them to move literally a room full of stuff less than two miles because I thought that it would be safer than my moving it myself. When they arrived, they did not show me any paperwork about insurance options or any contracts - they just started moving my stuff. The first time I saw our agreement on paper was when they had already moved my stuff - and they had selected my insurance options for me without explaining them to me at all.

Some of our furniture and boxes were moved. Furniture wasn't put back together properly, so high quality beds are now shaky and unstable. Everyone was very nice, but took a whole lot of breaks, so this unfinished move took 11 hours. Boxes were just dumped willy-nilly in the basement, so it's going to be hard to unpack. I've never left a bad review for anyone before, and I hate to now because I liked them all so much.
We tried really hard with this customer. She was not prepared for her move. She left unpacked items and garbage sitting in the way. We had to menuver several extremely heavy items including an 800 pound piano and a 600 pound hutch around all of the items and several pets.
Owner was very rude and communication was very poor. I was given to the “complaint” department which was terribly unhelpful. Threatening messages were never sent and I was sent threatening messages requiring payments to the owner personally and not to the business. I was also required to pay an up charge because I would not Venmo the owner personally for my move.
We stayed in constant communication with Hollie and because of a misunderstanding on her part she was not happy. We completed her move flawlessly after she sent threatening message saying that she would sew us for no reason.
Not organized and these men are the Biggest jokes I've ever seen as a moving company. They weren't on time and when they arrived they took their time to move a small piece of furniture. Be careful who you hire definitely not worth the money or time
We are sorry for any complications that were with your move. I wish you would have contacted me so we can reach a satisfactory agreement. We will always strive to do better moves and offer a better service than all other moving companies

This moving company was a pleasure to work with. I had to move a piano, and then change the moving day at the last minute. They were very understanding, and a different day was chosen. Ahlgrens were very communicative, and texted me with updates on their arrival. They were on time, and very carefully moved my piano up and down steps. The piano and bench were wrapped for added protection which I appreciated.

Not sure what more I can say about these guys. We had them deliver a safe a month ago and decided it would be better served in a different room in the house so I texted Chad and per the usual, it wasn’t long before he texted me back. I was able to schedule moving the safe and agree on a very reasonable price within a couple minutes. This time Chad sent the two gentlemen that work for him to do the move and again as usual they were incredibly professional and efficient and were in and out in no time at all.

I originally hired Ahlgren’s Transport to move my antique, baby grand piano from NC to out of state. I called multiple piano movers, but few would move out of state and the others lacked the professionalism, knowledge and price point of Ahlgren’s Transport. I had already hired and paid for a different group to move my home contents but also received an estimate from Ahlgren’s Transport for a whole home move as well, which was well priced. I wish I had hired Ahlgren’s Transport for the whole move.

We hired Chad to move our baby grand piano today, and the entire experience exceeded our expectations. From the very beginning, he was incredibly easy to contact and schedule with. The communication was smooth and professional throughout. Chad provided us with a very reasonable quote and delivered exactly what he promised. His team moved our piano safely from the previous owner's home to ours, and it arrived in perfectly intact.
