Rude, Damaged Property, Combative. If you want to save a few bucks, get your property damaged, then get yelled at, please use AK. This is by far the most unprofessional company I've ever dealt with. Not only did they damage our property thoroughly, when I spoke to the owner, Art, he was beyond rude. He began yelling at me as he thought I was the building management company. When he realized I was the actual customer, he went from beyond rude to just rude and only yelled a little bit.
Your statement about being asked to help was false; then you wrote how I actually was asked to help. I was in my car outside of the property the entire time. Clearly there will not be a resolution here and I’m looking forward to leaving your company reviews on every platform as my statements are…
Since they seem to have two google accounts here’s a warning to everyone else. Check the real reviews now the fake ones they paid for. Horrible business. They tried to overcharge me for things they had agreed upon before. Most of these reviews seem to be fake and make to make it look like they do business. Horrible owners who treat their workers like slaves. Don’t do business with them if you want you things to be transported safety without being nickel and dimed. Worst company ever

I chose these movers based on the wonderful reviews, however my experience was a total disaster. The biggest guy of the three was very lazy and inappropriate I suffered an allergic reaction from eating seafood my lip and cheek were swollen on the right side of my face he asked if my husband had done it REALLY HOW DISRESPECTFUL and also voice to me that I was nice but my husband was not WHERE DO YOU GET OFF RUDE GUY Wish I could have given NO star>>> no customer service no professionalism no integrity The only…
Do not use. Owner randomly charges excess fees not explained in the original contract and will argue over damages caused to personal property instead of taking ownership.
Zero customer service Imand playing games on ppl watch out guys , I wish if there is 0 star but, unfortunately there is none because, that how much the company deserve

I was in a jam with not having a mover with very short notice, AK Movers came through-what a relief!! Art was straightforward, helpful, professional and extremely responsive after dealing with a big van line company with non-existent customer service. Movers came on the day of move on time - Jose and Antonio did an excellent job wrapping everything up, they were professional, courteous and friendly—they worked hard too!!! I would hire them again in a heartbeat!!

AK Movers is great! We got a quote very quickly and it was a good price. The movers showed up early and quickly got to work. They had their own truck and came with moving blankets. Little hiccups did not phase them and they worked around imperfect moving situations (car blocking space, small elevator, many doors, etc.) Would highly recommend! Especially for D.C. as moving is difficult in tight quarters. Also the movers were really nice!
What can I say? AK movers is by far the best moving company I have used and I have moved over 30 times in six states in the U.S. They handled the entire move with professionalism, showed up early, and were ready to go. They assessed the move and I felt very comfortable that this crew was doing the best they possibly could with the best care possible. I don’t normally write reviews, but I do think it’s important to a acknowledge those who help you in life with integrity and honesty.
Top notch service! Can not express how much I appreciate these guys' service! We were in a situation where we had to make a super last minute move. Contacted on Yelp on Thursday, finalized on Friday by phone, and did the move on Saturday. We moved from a second story apt to a fourth story walk-up! These guys were champs and worked tirelessly to get all our furniture, boxes, books, and everything else. These guys were very professionals. They even showed up 15 minutes early.
