The rating breakdown
0 of the 38 ratings in Google’s published star breakdown for Alan Preston Piano Specialists are one or two star.
Worked out from 38 ratings. That is enough to publish but few enough that one more review moves it noticeably, so read it as a hint rather than a measurement.
Against other listings in Greensboro

What satisfied customers point to
The same method, applied to the four and five star reviews. Most movers are praised for the same handful of things, so what is missing here is often as telling as what is present.

In their own words
Michael was prompt and courteous, doing a thorough inspection of our turn of the century studio-sized upright. We purchased it from a family who had multiple generations learning to play on the instrument, but it had sat dormant for quite some time. Two prior tuning sessions from a different company only held for a few days before many notes dropped significantly out of tune. Michael took the time to find that all of the pegs were loose, and the quick to drop out of tune notes were just the loosest of them all.
I acquired an older piano as a gift that was in decent shape but way out of tune. I searched and searched for a piano specialist in the area to tune and make repairs or recommendations but the price points were way out of reach for my budget. Mr. Preston came out and tuned the piano, took his time, and made the piano sound good as new. If you are looking for exceptional service and a specialist with an excellent personality, Preston Piano Specialists is the right team!
Michael Preston was right on time for our appointment to tune or 1913 Adam Schaff upright piano. It had not been tuned in over 30 years so Michael gave us several options. He was very honest with his diagnostics and he gave us a very reasonable quote and stated if he found other issues once he started tuning the quote would change a little so we knew up front what to except. Michael did a remarkable job tuning the piano and other adjustments we asked him to do. I wish we had done this many years ago.
Thank you for the great review! Enjoy!
I found the Preston Piano Specialists through Groupon, and with the great discounted price, I set up an appointment. Michael Preston was quick to respond and answer the questions I had about the appointment and was flexible with my busy schedule. My piano had been slowly slipping out of tune over the last few months, but it didn't take him long at all to get it back in tune. He also mentioned some additional problems he found with the hammers and dampers within the piano, which he thought would be an easy fix.
