In their own words
We kindly asked one of the movers to cover the piano as it was freezing cold outside. The mover wouldn't do it although we asked for multiple times. This was a black guy. He basically tried to fudge our request and wouldn't have covered the piano if we hadn't asked multiple times. Also, their prices are high compared to other piano movers. I generally work with Kevin's piano movers which does an outstanding job at a lesser price.
We're sorry you were unhappy with the service. However, I have several issues with the review. But before that I would like to point out that we were on time and his move was successful without any damage. 1.
What satisfied customers point to
The same method, applied to the four and five star reviews. Most movers are praised for the same handful of things, so what is missing here is often as telling as what is present.

Nate and his crew from Alden's Piano were fantastic! We had a Steinway that needed to be carefully disassembled and moved into storage, as well as another one-of-a-kind Steinway that needed to be reassembled. The team knew exactly what to do and worked in perfect rhythm with one another. The entire process was impressively fast, and they were extremely respectful of the home and property. Nate was responsive, professional, and easy to coordinate with from start to finish.
Thank you Angela!
I recently used Alden's Piano Movers for a local move of a piano from Naperville, IL to Deerfield, IL. Nate was responsive to my initial inquiry and quoted me a very fair price. The guys who came out on the day of the move were prompt, conscientious, and pleasant! Communication across the move was good. I would recommend Alden's for your next piano move!
Thanks David!
We rented a piano for a talent show that took place in a downtown high rise. It was a complicated route, but they somehow managed to deliver a very nice Steinway grand, on time, and tune it before the performance. I couldn't have asked for better service. I also hired Alden's to move an enormous (1100 pound) 7 foot Mason & Hamlin grand from a 3rd floor apartment to a waiting truck, and a year later, after tens of thousands of $ of rebuilding work, move it back up the same winding, treacherous 44 step stairway.
Thank you Melissa!
Alden's Piano just relocated our treasured, four- generation, 100+ year old baby grand piano to its new home 400 miles away. We searched for a mover who would care for this piano and protect in on this cross-country journey. Nate Alden patiently answered all of my many questions. The most convincing aspect of the service was that Alden promised to maintain possession of the instrument for the entire journey, not to subcontract with an over-the-road carrier and create a delay of unpredictable length.
Thank you J!
