I have worked for a different moving company in the past for many years so I have a fair amount of experience . This company was hired to move my parents , the original estimate was so massive ( 4 times any other estimate ) that we decided to do 75% of the move ourselves and leave the big stuff . The revised estimate only reduced it by half . Move out day they were late and unfriendly with my parents . Took them 6 days to deliver 4 hours away I have no idea why .
Unfortunately We Paid Alert Moving And Storage To Move Our Furniture And Household Possessions To My Mini Storage In Chilliwack. We Packed Everything Prior To The Move And The Rest Was An Expensive Nightmare. The Movers Put Heavy Boxes On Top Of Light "Fragile" Marked Boxes. Beautiful Royal Dalton China Was Broken As Well As Other Fragile Items. They Broke Pieces Off Of Wooden Statues And Ruined Them. 4 Antique Furniture Pieces Were Damaged And Are Irreplaceable.

I've just recently amended our review. This is an average moving company. They did always do what they said they were going to do and our main contacts were very friendly. I did have an issue with one of the guys not being careful enough with our goods during load up and mentioned it to the leader of the crew. Unfortunately, a few weeks after the move (after interior painting was completed) we discovered a power reclining chaise that was part of an expensive Natuzzi couch was damaged - no marks on the outside but…

Sean and his crew moved us out and into storage. After 5 months delivered to our new address and again Sean, River and Derek did a fantastic job. Always cheerful and placed everything where we wanted. Friendly, prompt and very careful. I will use them again anytime and recommend them highly.
We have used Alert many times and they are always the 1st call when we have to move! They start early, work very hard and get the job done in always surprising record time with reasonable pricing. From small jobs to huge complicated jobs, Lisa @ the office and Tyler the moving 'foreman" we like to call him are the best!!

This is the 3rd time i have used these guys but my family have used them before as well - Last time we had Sean and River who were truely AMAZING and were super friendly and helpful and went the extra mile to help make sure everything was done and set up the way we wanted. You can tell they care ❤️ This time we had Tyler and Ken. And they were just as sweet and kind and Tylers blue eyes had a way of making me smile 😊 He said to honk when I go past his place but I think he is always working lol!
