Terrible experience. Owner, Jon, is nice in person but doesn't know how to run a business. Moves are challenging and will have hiccups--expect it. It's what an owner does AFTER issues arise is when their true self emerges. Our experience: 4 hours late; 50% underquoted (upping cost and # of trucks & days needed); owner was unexpectedly missing on moving day and the directionless crew were not eager or prepared to finish our packing (part of the contract); damaged property in home we left w/a promise to fix but…
I strongly urge you not to use this company if you value your time, your belongings and your sanity. Enclosing pictures to illustrate the experience we had. My experience: - Walk through was fine and John seems nice and trustworthy. We hire them. - Moving day they are running late. Some sort of confusion with the truck. John isn't present. The team appears to have no leader or experience. - The team neglects to cover their shoes. Mud is tracked in all over the carpet upstairs of our rental.
If I could give zero stars, I would. I hate to be the one giving a bad review, but John (the owner) does not care about his loyal customers. I hired these movers 3 times. The first time was obviously the best experience. Including the best of workers, because none of them scratched or dented anything and they were the fastest. The second time I had a chest drawer damaged. John wanted to go the cheap route and see if someone he’s well connected with can fix a glass material chest door.
If I could give no stars I would. They broke a leg off a dresser, broke our yard light, while moving furniture into the house. Broke our stairway light moving furniture out of our old house. Then to top it off they were moving our refrigerator into our new house and dropped it on its face off our porch, which broke a trim piece and dented our brand new refrigerator. They promised us they would fix it, as they didn't want to replace it.
Worst moving experience I ever had. They damaged my dressers during the move and never even followed up with me to fix it. I constantly had to call and follow up to not only get my dresser fixed as promised, but the return date of it …

Alex, Steve and Zach helped my family and I move. They were friendly, professional, efficient and courteous with great communication skills. I would highly recommend since they did everything and more for moving our belongings, safely and securely. Two thumbs up for these guys!
Moved a one bedroom apartment from Ann arbor to Minneapolis. Price was very fair and the service exceptional. John and Mike were very thorough and did not cut any corners during loading. They wrapped everything in moving blankets and also assembled and disassembled furniture for us. Every piece arrived in pristine condition, even fragile glass vases. I had a great experience right from the initial contact to the final unloading. Great people, honest and diligent. Recommend highly for local and long distance moves.
I highly recommend All Directions. All the staff I interacted with were professional and kind. It was very clear that these guys know what they're doing. They work efficiently and effectively to get the job done at a fair price.
This is the only moving company you should be using in Ann Arbor and the surrounding area!!!! I've used them personally for two moves, and have referred them to tons of people over the years. The associates are always, efficient and respectable to the customers items and time. John, the owner, is amazing and will always go above and beyond to make sure you're satisfied! Thanks All Directions for continuing to be amazing!!!
