In their own words
Customer service policy is horrible. Their company "policy" is officially to never answer the phone. I spent 3 weeks trying to pay a bill, 12 phone calls and 6 emails and never got a call back until I threatened a lawsuit. The property manager lies and apparently considers customers as a nuance. AVOID AT ALL COSTS unless you want your stuff auctioned off and/or get charged late fees because they can't and won't take an annual payment until you talk to the property manager (who doesn't ever respond).
This place will get you with insane fees and extra charges on an already VERY expensive unit. Hard to maneuver in an out. Dude that works there is nice though.
Hi, Robert. At National Storage, we aim to provide positive experiences at all times. Is there anything we could do to make it better? Please call us at ([phone removed]!
Beware: mice or squirrels got into our unit through the roof. I called the company and they said “yea there’s nothing we can do about that. Be sure not to put food in there. We’ll put More traps up” like they know it’s an ongoing issue and how rude that they thought I would put food in a storage area?? We used them for over a year and then we left 3 days after our months auto-pay went through, and they wouldn’t reimburse us for the month even with the rodent infestation.

Prices keep going up an up every year, but service keeps going down and down. The freight elevator in the main building hardly ever works so you could arrive with a UHaul full of stuff and have to carry everything up the narrow stairwell. The place is rarely staffed, so when the elevator doesn't work there is no one to turn to for help. The number on the office door that says "call for assistance" just rings to a voicemail box; so no help there at all. Use this storage place at your own risk.
Hi, Jeremy. We are sorry to hear that we didn’t meet your expectation. We have very high expectations at National Storage and would love the opportunity to improve. Please get in touch with us at ([phone removed]!
I believe Megan was one of the names of the workers there in the office, and she was quite rude, condescending and belligerent in the way she conducted her interactions with customers. She clearly does not know the basics of customer service interactions and clearly hasn't been trained well enough to know how to interact with a human being socially and properly. Poor customer service overall.
My repeated complaints about the overhead lighting turning off while I was accessing my storage units were ignored. Time and time again I found myself in complete darkness which caused a safety issue for me and my spouse. This was a 4 year …
We appreciate your feedback, Amy. If you would like to discuss your experience further, don't hesitate to reach out to us at ([phone removed] or [email removed] We would love the opportunity to resolve any issues.
I'm not sure where to start. Quite often their phone line is not active and it is impossible to reach someone if you have an urgent matter. It is best to communicate via email, they usually respond quickly. Meagan is great! She helped us …
Thank you for bringing this urgent matter to our attention. While we do have regular pest control services that monitor our property, we have immediately taken action to investigate and implement any necessary measures to ensure that our high standards are being met.
Beware of the lease agreements that require you to pay a full month’s rent even if you use it for an extra day. I had to learn this the hard way. After 6 months of paying nearly $300 a month I could not remember this clause in the lease …

Brian did a great job explaining the move-in process. It was quick, easy, and non-stressful. I was able to store my belongings promptly after the short registration process.
Hi, Alex. We appreciate the kind words and are glad we could provide you with a positive experience!
Brian Williams helped me get set up with a unit same day. Super friendly and fast service! Reasonably priced and very flexible lease periods
Hi, Ethan. Your feedback is highly appreciated. Thank you for the review!
Amazing service. Brian Williams was exceptionally helpful and went above and beyond to help. I don’t have a single complaint, Brain made everything clear, efficient, and was helpful to a great degree. If you want to store anything in the Ann Arbor area I would recommend this place, and this place only. Brain Williams did everything perfectly and I mean that in the literal sense. 5/5 stars, I would give 6 if I could.
Hi, Muhammad. Thanks for taking the time to share your positive experience. We truly appreciate it!
The person working there was very nice. The entrance is a gate using keypads on both sides. I was told you can drive in the facility. But check the unit number. 2nd digit was for floor so if it is 2 you have to walk up stairs unless it’s an elevator enabled unit.
Hi, Jerry. Thanks for taking the time to share your positive experience. We truly appreciate it!
