All My Sons Moving & Storage

Update: After I posted the following review customer service reached out to me. I was offered a small reimbursement due to the miscommunication. Original complaint: Nothing but hidden fees. It was horrible the amount of money they charge. Everytime we talked to someone it ended up costing more money. They quoted me 219 an hour for three person team. Then said oops its suppose to be 229. Offered a 10% discount and then didn't put it on any of the paperwork. The movers showed up and it was more hidden fees.

What a nightmare! A very exciting day for our family was turned into an immensely stressful, chaotic day due to this company’s ineptitude. Where do I begin……our movers showed up reeking of marijuana. They cursed at both my wife and my father in-law. They charged us approximately 4x what we were quoted. We were quoted around $600 and paid over $2000. I could’ve paid 3 hungover college kids to come do a better job at a fraction of the cost.

NEVER use this firm, packing was horrible, like a child packed. I bough insurance, they did not honor it, they had fancy speak as to why they did not need to. They offered a few dollars settlement and then ghosted me. I paid to have an expensive items crated and the item was never crated even though I paid the fees and then a very expensive and non replaceable Italian crystal lamp broke, its been a complete disaster.

Operate under a call center in another state, yet claim to be local. They took my money and did not provide the service I requested. They are connected to a call center in another state. I called to hire an unpacking crew for all day at $143/hr for which the immediately deducted $339. My previously hired crew did not show up but they did not steal my money. I called All My Sons a day before because the crew I hired on Monday morning did not show.

The unloading and placement in the unit were phenomenal. However, the pricing was outrageous, to say the least. They hold your stuff hostage until you pay .

We had previously used this company around 8 months ago and had an overall good experience so we decided to go with them again for a much shorter move but this time with two spaces instead of one. We were supposed to have 5 guys and 2 trucks but only 4 guys came with was not a big deal as I figured surely 2 two could work on each space. The workers were so spaced out and unorganized and really seemed to not have much knowledge of what to do or even how to do it.

I used All My Sons for a move from West Knoxville, TN to Clinton, TN. Total distance of 23 miles. The moving team they sent "diverted" 13 bottles of premium bourbon during the move. Approximate value of 1500 plus dollars. Their movers loaded the bourbon, which was boxed, wrapped, and clearly marked as "good bourbon" (big mistake). I had intended to move it myself but in the hectic first minutes of the move they loaded it into the moving truck while I was busy elsewhere, despite their prohibition on moving alcohol.

The guys were getting the job done Very well. Until D said time up. They were almost done except the bed room and some other things. D kept telling me over and over why they were stopping and why they were doing it. I was quoted $700.00 I asked him to “Shut up” but the 700.00 wasn’t to finish. No bedroom. But my quote didn’t matter my time was up..I got my 700.00 worth so we’re done.
