All My Sons Moving & Storage

They charged me $30.00 for extra tape they didn't use. They refused to carry packages when they saw everything was packed and said, "What's all this? You know we charge $209.00 per hour?" They deliberately took their time to overcharge me. And yes, I knew that and was willing to pay. I even knew they would pack anything I needed, but I already had everything packed. They sent lazy employees.

Let me start by saying that these guys sent "Moe, Larry, and Curly" to move me from my apartment to my new home. One admitted he was very hung over from a hard night of drinking, but he still hustled. He was the good one of the bunch. One was a nervous dope and the 3rd one....oh boy.....was clearly coming down off of something other than marijuana. I suspect meth/heroine. He was polite and courteous though. They all were actually. Moving into that apartment was not easy at all and neither was moving out.

I had a truly disappointing experience with All My Sons during my recent move this weekend. I clearly stated I was moving a fully furnished one-bedroom apartment, yet they sent two movers prepared to handle a much smaller job. They were disorganized from the start, grabbed items we had set aside to move ourselves, and showed very little professionalism. One mover, Felix, asked for water (which I provided), then proceeded to request a Monster energy drink—and later lectured me on how much I should be tipping.

The movers themselves were good but it was a horrible experience overall.  They were supposed to be at my place at 7- 8 a.m. They pushed it back to 11 day of. Fine no biggie . When I called around 2p the office person Jonathan said he didn’t know when they’d be there and when I asked “what happens if you don’t get to me?” he said “if we don’t get there, we don’t get there.”  I told him that wasn’t going to work as I had put down a deposit and needed to be out of my place by the following day at noon and he…

My move experience turned out to be the ultimate bait & switch with poor customer service. When All My Sons was trying to secure my business they were quite responsive, communicative, and promising. They took my inventory and description of my current and future places. Based on the description, they shared an estimate (about 3 hours) for a 1 bedroom move (no packing) just about 4 miles away. Things started off slow with the two movers who after an hour, hadn't placed a single thing onto the truck.

If you care about your belongings and want to feel comfortable with the people in your home, I would strongly recommend a different moving company. Especially if you’re a woman. I’ve never left a review for anything, that’s how bad this was. Multiple pieces of my furniture were damaged beyond repair. While I understand accidents happen, the movers assured me the company would “take care of me.” They did not.

This was the absolute worst experience I’ve had dealing with a moving company. First, as soon as they get to my home, they need the restroom. I was completely fine with it. But then they are just hanging out talking and slowly wrapping up my furniture (only two bedrooms, small tv stand, a couch and a kitchen table). They moved furniture only. No boxes or anything else. 2.5 hours it took them to do that.

All My Sons quoted us $680 for moving our very small 590-sq-ft one-bedroom apartment with not much furniture, but ended up charging us a staggering $1,460, more than double the original quote. When we asked why, we were told “the stairs slowed us down.” The quote was given after they had already come up the stairs and into the apartment, so it is beyond me how a team of professional movers could be so unfamiliar with how two flights of stairs would affect moving time.
