All My Sons Moving & Storage

Let me start by saying I’m not the type to leave bad reviews, but I remembered this experience enough to come back nearly a month later and express my thoughts. I originally left a 5 star review till we realized half our things were damaged during the move and we were severely overcharged. Said they would do the move for $189 an hour. Started by showing up more than 7 hours late. We were expecting them at 11am and they didn’t show up till after 5pm. Then we got the move done in around 2 hours.

This is my second time using All my sons for moving. The first time was a great experience. The 2 guys who came to move a small 2-bedroom apartment were very friendly, hard-working, and efficient. They got the entire move done in less than 4 hours including a 30-minute drive to the new apartment. Fast-forward 8 months later and we were moving again, I thought it was a no-brainer who to call. Our 2 new movers were once again very friendly and personable.

This was the absolute worst experience of my life with any moving company. These recent (1 star) review reflect perfectly what we’ve experienced today. They got here at 1:30PM, didn’t start until 1:50PM but started the clock at 1:15PM… The two men Matt and his friend tried to under the table scam us. Completely unprofessional and unacceptable and told us the company would charge us double if we didn’t give them money individually. Initially, it was supposed to be $375 for the first hour then an additional $165.

The movers asked us if very early into the move if we were using AMS coverage or if we had a third party coverage. We said we were 3rd party covered and this felt like it was the precursor to the care of how our furniture was handled during the move. The impression it gave was that since I was covered, it didn’t matter if anything got damaged since it will be my problem and I'll have to go out of my way to compensated for damages.

I can't be more disappointed. I gave two stars only because the gentlemen were all very kind. However, the amount of damage was way more than expected. When I booked All My Sons Moving I was assured our things would be well cared for. I stated I would need some light packing. I had done about 90% of the packing but could not finish it all. I wasn't worried because I was told they would pack the rest. I called a couple of days prior to ask what to expect and asked if packing certain things would be a problem.

Don’t Do it! Do your research on who is handling your belongings! If you decide to go cheap you will pay for it later. I moved this Saturday with this company 2 men came with a rental truck. I should have backed out right then. John Paul and his partner checked out my stuff that I was moving and yes they were on time. 7am I moved all y things downstairs except for my room tv bed and dresser.

I couldn’t be more disappointed in this company and the customer service through their support center. The individuals I spoke with never stated that there would be additional fees for the move itself and quoted me for the time and gas opposed to the move itself in conjunction with the hrs and gas. This was never discussed when I spoke with the two gentlemen, but once they got my $500 they had me locked in and their movers proceeded to tell me my total would be around $1500.

I had a terrible experience with All My Sons Moving Company and feel compelled to warn others. I was given a quote of $750 for my move. After everything was loaded and delivered, they blindsided me with a final bill of $1,500—double the original estimate. No clear explanation, no heads-up, just a shockingly inflated bill at the end when I had no choice but to pay. Their behavior was deceptive and predatory. I asked for a breakdown of the charges and was met with vague responses and zero accountability.
