Copperstate Moving

STAY AWAY. (update at the bottom, too). We hired copperstate to load our truck for us on June 4th. We provided wrap, packing blankets, and tie-down materials (ropes and ratchets) so they could adequately protect our items and secure them in the truck. The loaders (Richard and two others), neglected to wrap several of our furniture items. As a result, all of them were damaged with scratching and multiple chunks missing from the wood and other finishes.

Final Edit: No one ever called. Tried again Thursday morning and still haven't received a call back. Clearly a lack of care or customer service with the company. The crew was 5.5 hours late going off the latest initial arrival window. The crew did have good attitudes despite working late themselves. They themselves acknowledged that the companies communication is not good and they questioned why a different crew wasn't rerouted for our move since they were available sooner.

We would like to put review on our move that happened last week. We never put review for anything however this one was the most destructive move we have had. Inspite of mentioning all the items in the quote, movers took 4 hours over the quoted time. We were ok to pay however they were very disorganized and slow. They broke several items. Some they fixed and some they tried to hide. Hiding the items they broke was very shocking.

The move itself was quick and efficient, however, one the movers kept mentioning a tip multiple times throughout the move. I have no problem tipping for service, this just made me extremely uncomfortable and pressured to tip. On top of that, my move was more than the price I was quoted, when it came to the money breakdown the gentleman who was presenting the numbers clicked through them as fast as possible and didn’t let me look at the full breakdown.

I hired Copperstate moving company this past April 2025. I will start with the positive. They were friendly and helpful when I first called them to inquire about prices & dates. When moving day arrived, the guys were on time and friendly. They worked hard & had everything loaded up in a few hours. When we arrived at my new house my son called me and stated that one of the guys had stolen his $160 bottle of cologne. It was the only bottle of cologne he owned.

I was very pleased and thankful that when scheduling an appointment they were willing to assist with the price for 2 hours as well as wave the extra 15 minutes knowing that they started not exactly at 8:00 I also was okay with one item being broken so I let that go but as soon as the drivers left and they were good but when I unpacked one of my items my expensive bakery dish was completely broken and it just goes to show the carelessness of slamming items when you're putting items down I felt that they didn't pay…

Mover BEWARE!!! Do your homework, call other companies (there are a lot better ones) review ratings, check out the BBB before you hire this moving company. The day of my move, they damaged SO much of my personal property (couch, TV stand, bed post, holes in the master bedroom dry wall; brand new house bedroom) that was supposed to be wrapped in plastic, they weren’t.

BEWARE of the fine print! And how quickly the friendly, helpful customer service goes away in the event you file a claim. After getting around to unboxing our expensive, 85" TV (that we paid extra to have crated/boxed), we discovered that it had been horribly broken... we immediately notified the company with photos and information. They responded that despite the extra boxing fees we had paid, they would still only cover the TV at a price per pound rate... less than $60 for a one year old $1800 TV.
