In their own words
Absolutely TERRIBLE experience. Worst customer service I've ever experienced. Tracy, the office manager, is rude, abrasive, and lacks professionalism of any kind. My piano was damaged upon delivery, but I wasn't given time to work out what I needed to do before Tracy instructed her drivers to leave. So, now I have a damaged piano, a nightmare of an office manager, and no idea how to get the problem resolved. I will be filing a complaint with the Better Business Bureau.
2 stars because they did a good job of moving the piano, but a horrible job communicating. The movers were nice, quick, efficient and pleasant. The office lady, Tracy, however is a different story. She told me they would call me (the buyer) and the seller the day before with a pickup window. They always told me that they would call 1/2 hour before pickup. They never called me or the seller the day before. Instead they sent an email. I let the seller know myself.
I would not recommend this company. I had a customer service style issue with them. The office manager, Tracy, is very rude and clearly does not understand the business. It sounds like she far under pays her workers, too. They moved my piano on time and they did a good job. However, it was discovered right after they left that they cracked my music desk during the move because they left it in the piano, and smashed it between furniture pads. The company offered to repair it, and I accepted.
Had Allied confirmed for Piano move. When I called to double check we were good to go Tracy from their office called me back and cancelled. She was fairly rude and said “they don’t do stairs and don’t move pianos up or down stairs”. I again explained I have very few stairs and what I did have I showed in them pics and very easy to navigate the move. Again they said they don’t do stairs and I should call a piano moving company. I asked if they were a piano moving company, they said “yes but they don’t do stairs”.
I was unimpressed by the person I contacted. I sent information for a quote. Based on their response, they seemed uninterested in my business. They seemed unfriendly, cold, and uninformative. I decided to go with another company and to never contact them again.

In their own words
Allied moved my Baldwin acrosonic piano from its old house to my apartment. They were on time & had called to let me know their ETA that morning in addition to their check in call that weekend. It had the easiest route out of the old house assessed and the piano out in literally 15 minutes!! Then they got it up to my 2nd floor apartment with 24 steps with 2 turns without a single scratch! They were so careful with it & so great at communicating with each other.
Allied Piano did a great job in every respect with my old piano. I needed to move the piano out of my house to facilitate some renovations that were about to take place. Allied Piano Movers efficiently moved the piano down 14 interior steps, around sharp turns, and down 5 exterior steps. My plan was to give this piano to a friend, but she would not be moving into her new home for several months. So, Allied stored my piano in a climate controlled environment. The piano had not been tuned in a very long time.
Allied is the most reliable and quickest turnaround for piano moving. Also great value and communication.
could not say enough good things about Allied! I had a grand piano moved twice with them. They first tried to move it into my apartment, but could not get it up the stairs. My fault, not theirs. Stored it with them until I purchased a house. They moved it into my new home. Both times the staff was knowledgeable, courteous and experienced. They were very careful with the piano and the area the piano was going into. I have had very positive dealings with Tracy, the office manager.
