I contacted AME to move 7 items of furniture my parents gave me. This was all nice furniture. They damaged EVERY SINGLE PIECE. Over $10,000 worth of furniture all damaged. They damaged my walls in 4 places and my tile floors. Contacting AME was a massively bad decision and the way they handled it has not been appropriate. They had two movers and I literally lost one during the move - he disappeared. They took six hours to move 7 pieces.
We hired AME movers for a local move (2.5 miles). The customer service while arranging for the move was superior. They were convincing that they could beat the quote from a competitor. We decided to go with AME movers -HUGE mistake. Almost immediately upon arrival, the quote went up by a couple hundred dollars. By the time they were done, the original quote almost tripled. One of the workers contacted Jeff (sales manager or owner) about the significant discrepancy.

These movers were contracted by the army to move my family DOWN THE STREET!!! They lost the bolts to our bed, lost all of our tv controllers, packed trash in the boxes, dead flowers, and my bonsai tree. They also didn't even move all of our belongings!! A whole bathroom, closet, wall items, and kitchen items were left at the old address. One of the employees got on a video call with his girlfriend and flipped it to show me and my baby to his girlfriend.

We ended up having to rent an apartment on the 3rd floor so that made moving so much more difficult. After we got most of our stuff in, we decided to hire some extra help. I called around and had one company try to charge me for the time it would take to get there and back on top of the time it would take to help us move. One had given a quote but then said they could charge us more afterwards for heavy or awkward items, and we didn't know what that would end up looking like at the end. Ridiculous.
AME movers are the best. The men that moved our furniture were Kennedy and Lasale. They were incredible. They carefully wrapped each piece of furniture with moving blankets. They were so professional. They wasted no time while they worked. The furniture was firmly secured in the truck before they left. I would highly recommend AME movers.
