American Moving Solutions came across like a great company. We were looking at a long move. They were helpful when looking at getting an accurate quote. I signed an agreement with them and paid the deposit. I cancelled the agreement well within the number of days given in the contract as we hadn't confirmed our move. They refused to refund our deposit. This was not a little money. It was over $5000. The agent was relentless in getting my business. She called, texted and emailed constantly.

Long story short, when I moved in with my ex roommate, she did not tell me she had bed bugs, when I found out I made sure it was taken care of... The apartment had been bed bug free for over 6 months. This company did not ask if this had been a thing. And apparently it was a huge deal. Because they claimed to have found eggs, dumped my stuff just inside the door, trapping me in my own house, and walked out. They did not even give me a chance to explain.
Not only was I estimated a rate and then had it tripled, but I was promised a two day pick up date in case of emergency‘s. And emergency did arise but the truck was not there in those two days it took four days to pick up my furniture. I was promised a 5 to 7 day delivery date. My furniture was not delivered in 5 to 7 days and the driver called me to tell me he was in every state but the state I needed him to deliver my things to.

“Supervisor” Jeanette was not only unprofessional but extremely rude on the phone. Instead of explaining or working toward solutions she just talks over you with an attitude and is ignorant and loud. She has an attitude for literally No Reason. She refuses to let you speak to someone above her. Will NEVER use this company again and will not be recommended to anyone except who not to use. I wouldn’t even use this company at this point had I not already paid.

Agreed to a move based on size of furniture and number of boxes. 1 bedroom apartment. Movers showed up and stated it would be 5 times more as they work by cubic feet. Checked our contract and we were asked to itemize. Movers left and we are out $1200 with nothing moved. No refund. They are a scam.
Horrible, horrendous, perverts. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. The initial service was great and that is how they hook you with a nonrefundable deposit and amazing promises. Once they have your money, it is all downhill. My quote was for …

I cannot recommend American Moving & Storage Solutions enough. The manager Todd was extremely friendly and helpful before, during and after my residential move from Ohio to Illinois. I found the long haul price to be very fair and by using a local company you know exactly who is moving your belongings, unlike the larger moving companies. Having the peace of mind of knowing who was handling my possessions was very important to me.

We had an outstanding experience with our afternoon movers and highly recommend them. Wayne and Laquan were professional, efficient, and great to work with. Due to delays from our morning movers (another company) we were running behind schedule. When I contacted dispatch, Randy was understanding and communicative. Although they were already en route and had other jobs scheduled, he assured us they were happy to wait. Randy even followed up to make sure we connected and thanked us for choosing their company.
Maleek, Eli and Ryan were unbelievable. Timely, professional, courteous, extremely careful and very friendly. As with any move, there are always the “can you help us with this or that” moments. They never blinked or wavered. Happy to help and a pleasure to work with. We would highly recommend not only American Moving & Storage Solutions but Maleek, Eli and Ryan!
They arrived on time, moved incredibly efficiently. Very kind and helpful! Great value as well. Maleek and Dorian are true professionals and we are so grateful for making moving a family member so easy on us.
