Two Men and a Truck Moving and Storage

I tried to submit with ZERO stars but unable. TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE!! Do not make the mistake of using Two Men and a Truck! I initially wrote an extensive review but their poor performance was so egregious that I exceeded the allowed number of characters. So, my brief review: The crew was unprofessional, lazy, slow, and deceptive; but fully focused on, and solicitous of, a gratuity!! As my family and I were working breakneck speed, the movers meandered! NO hustle! No sense of efficiency!!

August 28, 2020 Move Date from Columbus to Westerville Movers Arrived: 12:30 P Smoke Break 3:15 PM (15 minutes) Dinner on way to new place: 5:00 PM (assumed 15 minutes) Complete moving at 7:30 PM Charge on card at 8:00 PM (30 minutes spent preparing paperwork) TOTAL TIME: 6.5 hours (maximum 7 hours if paperwork time is accounted for) I was quoted 3 individuals for 8 hours at $209 / hour (plus $250 in travel and valuation charges). When the movers arrived, they requoted 10 hours at the same rate.

I would not recommend this company. I called for a quote and after going through the items I would need moved I was quoted 2 hours. I was moving from a 2 bedroom apartment to another 2 bedroom apartment, old apartment to new was less than a mile away. We disassembled and reassembled all necessary furniture on our own and packed and moved all boxes and clothes they simply had to move the bigger furniture.

This company moved me last year, from Lancaster to an area north of Akron. Three young men, the head guy very nice, respectful and articulate. I did notice that one of the other movers, a young man who might’ve been 18 to 20, had a law-enforcement monitor on his ankle. This was my first move post-divorce and I had things in boxes from my basement to my closets and a little disorganized.

The original crew on day one worked hard and professionally, but the overall experience quickly declined afterward. Our apartment elevator went down during the move, and we were reassured there would not be additional charges or complications continuing the next day. Instead, the second day became disorganized, inefficient, and far more expensive than quoted. Movers repeatedly stalled time, failed to use proper equipment or additional protective wrap, and showed little care for our property.

I used this company to do a load-only option to load a truck that I would later transport myself. Please note that this review is ONLY for the load service, and not the download service when I arrived at my new home. The two movers arrived on time and seemed professional. However I noticed from the beginning that one of them kept telling me that they didn’t think the move could be done in the three hour allotted time that was scheduled. Well halfway into the move I could see why that was the case.

I cannot recommend this company for moving services. I scheduled a move for a number of furniture pieces and participated in a virtual walkthrough to identify all of the pieces requiring a local move so that an estimate could be prepared. On the day of the move, two of the smallest/skinniest 'movers' arrived and they struggled to handle a number of the pieces either due to inexperience or lack of physical capability.

Two Men and A Truck moved me again - my last review was 5 stars. T original estimate was for 5 hours and a potential pack about a month ago. However the week of the move I verified I had very little to move and did not require a pack. The movers showed up budgeting for 5 hours (not needed) and a pack (also not needed), so I was really confused because I had communicated all of that already. They proceeded to take their time to pack up the little that I had, and it was a bit upsetting.
