Formal Complaint – Poor Service, Property Damage, and Unprofessional Conduct This company and its staff were disorganized, damaging, delayed, dismissive, condescending, unaccountable, careless, and overall highly unprofessional. I strongly advise proceeding with caution. My move took place on March 13th and was poorly executed from start to finish. A job estimated at three hours took well over six hours due to inefficiency and lack of coordination.

It was a mistake trusting this company for our move. 1) They broke our pictures and shadowboxes by stacking things on top of them, despite writing "do NOT stack" on the boxes. 2) I called to confirm that we needed a crew all day. They left after only 4 hours with stuff still all over and NOT packed at the old house. 3) They were sitting around, and BILLING us, while waiting for my spouse to get to the new house and pay them. This is WHILE the move was unfinished, and furniture unassembled.

One of the Worst Customer Service Experiences I Have Ever Had – Avoid at All Costs I genuinely don’t know how to fully convey how disastrous our experience with MVM was, but I’ll stick strictly to the facts. I have no idea how this place has good reviews unless we just managed to catch them on their worst day in history. When I scheduled with them I was told they would be late morning/early afternoon because they had an earlier move. Perfect. By 10 am we had every piece of furniture disassembled and ready to move. 2 bed frames, 2 mattresses, a couch, a couple chairs, a vanity, and a washer and dryer. We don’t hear from the company until 4:20 pm.

Our movers worked to get everything done. However they paid zero attention to labeling of boxes. More on that later We were excited as we have used MVM twice in the past and everything was wonderful. Yesterday, however was awful and the most stressful move ever! We were promised two trucks to arrive at 9am. I asked where the second truck was and was told “it’ll be here very soon”. They loaded up the one truck and left to the new house still no truck. I was told 45 minutes to an hour around 2pm or so.

I'll begin with at least my son is not going to suffer long term injury due to improper moving and set up of his crib. At least this is a comfort given the circumstances. Often you write bad reviews because of damaged items but this is about more than that. As a result of our crib being put back together incorrectly our son fell through the front of the crib while sleeping and got his head stuck between the metal and frame. Panicked we had to break the front of the crib off to rescue him.

I had high expectations when I hired MVM moving company, but unfortunately my experience did not meet the standard I expected from a professional service. To be fair, both movers were courteous, and one of the gentlemen was especially kind and respectful throughout the move. However, the overall process was disorganized and inefficient. I paid for a two-person moving crew, but one mover arrived approximately 30 minutes late, leaving the other to start the job alone.
